Day 12 - "J"

I changed the colours and markings on one of the little birds from the Christmas Cardinals set to create a blue jay, then fussy cut and layered him over an embossed background. I cut the word "JOY" three times and layered the letters together to raise them a bit more from the background.

YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "J" as your prompt.

Handsome blue jay, must be cold with his blue beak, glad he has a scarf!

I always love the way a sentiment looks when it's been layered like that. The Framing really brings your eye into the blue jay and the background. Really a stunning card! We love to feed the birds here and have three feeders. Right now with the weather turning colder the blue jays aren't as prevalent as they are during the summer. Did you know that blue jays can mimic other bird calls? I think birds are fascinating! Thanks for the lovely inspiration today!

I adore that blue jay and he fits well against that great embossed background.
The raised letters are fab too!

It looks like the little friend is bringing the light by himself, he's almost shining! Beautifully coloured.

Jolly clever Blue Jay Beccy!

LOVE your cheery colouring! He really pops against the white textured background while perched on his elegant joy perch :)

Hi Beccy, a cute little blue jay, the only Aussie bird that I can think of with the peaked top is the iconic whip bird, known more for the sound at the beginning of 'Skippy' but elusive when you try to spot them. Thank you for the inspiration... Megan

He looks beautiful in blue. It's chilly here today in Pennsylvania USA - I'll definitely need my scarf

I am not sure what to enjoy: the blue, the eyes, the so sure posture over the
joy, or the idea that the little friend is part of a creative game!
Or a drop of everything!
Beautiful creation, Beccy! It makes me smile!

Sweet! I have recently come to realise that I can give birds or any other animal any colour I feel like. All I need to do now, is to put this into practice!

Beautiful blue Jay bird Beccy...
Since my partner has passed away, myself and my daughters have seen many Blue Jays flying around.
