Whether you've submitted one card or thirty, each entry has taken us to a new challenge record. Day 27 - "X"

It's "X" day, and thankfully for me I have a ready stash of XPress It blending card just waiting to be coloured. Arguably "X" is the most difficult letter of the alphabet as far as our challenge goes, but over the years I've seen some really great ideas. Day 26 - "W"

I cut a window from my white card stock, embossed some winter snowflakes on my background and then added a generous helping of Wink of Stella for some sparkle and shine. I'd like to say that I had all that well planned in advance, but really, I only realised I had all the extra "w"s after I finished my card. Initially, it was all about the Wink of Stella... the rest was a happy accident!

YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "W" as your prompt.

What a pretty card! I remember the first time I saw real mistletoe. The neighbor kids were walking around selling it. If I remember right, they said someone shot it out of the tree for them. It grows here, but I've only seen it way up high in the trees, so I guess that is how you get it down. For us, we have an artificial one that get hung in the same spot every year.

Such a cute card. I am a hoarder when it come to my scraps. I’m afraid if I use them I might need them later so I end up collecting them and now I have an abundance amount of them.

Day 23 - "T"

I have something a little different for you today, which I've decided to call "Two-fer"... mostly so it fits today's letter prompt, but also because it is "two-fer" the work of one.

Print or stamp a very large image and colour.

Scraps?????????????????? I have a ton of those - I am going to whip up a card and see what I come up with - if one could only SEE all the scraps and stuff on my crafting table - I have to clean it! Off to create!

Day 22 - "S"

Scraplets, which I've chosen for today's "S" prompt, are fabulous little cards made from the leftovers of A4 sheets of paper. They're a great size for fun little greetings, gift tags or festive giveaways and their small size means they're quick and easy to decorate. I discovered these little cuties during last year's Holiday card challenge and have made many of them since!

YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "S" as your prompt.

I love the layers and colors! Kitty is such a generous person, she was one of the very first people who connected with me when I started to make cards with always something sweet to say.

Everything Papercraft

Pop-up cards are fun to make and always popular as gifts. The idea is that a picture or sentiment “pops up” when the card is opened via a specially designed, built-in, fold that flattens out again once the card is closed. It makes what is usually a two-dimensional greeting card into a 3D creation with the use of cleverly placed cuts, folds, glue-ins and other moving parts.

There’s a host of techniques and methods for making these great gifts. Click on any of the photos below to check out a tutorial or search the internet for “pop-up cards”. You’re sure to find something that suits your needs.

Day 15 - "M"

Today is "M" day and for me that means monochrome. I've used only black and white pencils on a piece of dark blue card stock to colour this Christmas bell. The sparkle is from a generous application of Wink of Stella... my favourite sparkly medium.  "M" also means we're now halfway through the alphabet and halfway through our November Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Can you believe it?!

YOUR TURN: Create a papercraft project using the letter "M" as your prompt.

That is such a fun sentiment, Beccy! I love this candy cane carrying kangaroo! I have never seen a kangaroo in real life so I think she is so cute and fun! I googled to see if male kangaroos have pouches and I learned that they do not - male kangaroos who want pockets simply have to wear pants!

Day 14 - "L"

Today's card is all about the layers - seven in total, including the base card and the die cut sentiment I've added over the image. I want to give a big shout-out to the lovely Fit Kitty for the "Cheer" sentiment she sent to me, as well as some gorgeous snowflake swags. Thanks again Kitty!
