Day 19 - "Q"

When "Q" day rolls around in this challenge you can be sure I'll choose something quilted. Mostly because I love the look but also because I still haven't gotten around to learning how to quill!

YOUR TURN: Create a card or project using the letter "Q" as your prompt.

I hadn't thought of using this image for Q. I'd already started this year's one (with the same image I used last year) so will consider this one for Q next year if you do the alphabet again.

I love this little guy. I didn't use him for today but I'm thinking of using him for "R" day. He's too cute not to come out and play in the challenge.

Beccy, your card is so cute. I don’t know how to quill or quilt so you are one up one me. Well probably more than one up on me but at least one.

I think I'm getting the hang of this now and can, at times, be seen saying to the computer " Come on Beccy I'm waiting to see if you say 'Ready, steady, go....'". Believe me I'm getting some VERY funny looks.... Loving your cute card!

Lovely card. I love the way the reindeer look. Is it pp or have you coloured him with markers?

This is so cute, Beccy, I love the quilted pattern and traditional colours! I remember I did quilt last year so I'm wondering if I'll do it again; we'll see! I've been jumping ahead in the alphabet but I've also skipped a couple letters - I have my list and I'm keeping track, checking it twice you might say! I'm determined to do every letter and challenge again this year! Thanks for the awesome inspiration here!

Awesome card, I just managed to get a day 18 one done and we are on to #19 and it's an interesting challenge. I think I have an idea. for the Q. although if I try to play catch up I'll be creating into 2020.

Adorable quilted reindeer Beccy... I tried quilling a few years back... I bought all kinds of supplies and did a few small pieces. Then figured it took too much time to do so I gave it up and got rid of all the supplies. I enjoyed the pieces I did, but as I get older tiny pieces are harder to hold on to. I've seen several beautiful pieces over the years and thought how much patience it took and how much time it must have taken them to do...

Q is a tough letter and you have a great list. I've always wanted to try quilling but I'll have to practice for next year. It would be a bit time consuming and I'm already running behind. Love your card with the cute focal point of the quilted deer. Great image!

SUPER CUTE card Beccy!
Love your dear little quilted deer, the colours work perfectly with your pretty patterned paper layers!
... it's times like these I shake my head wondering why I struggle to use PP when I enjoy collecting it so much. The coordinating layers look so wonderful together => ANOTHER task to add to my "To Do" list, let's crack open some of my precious paper pads!

Love your quilted deer. It gives me inspiration to make a card with it too. I am not familiair to quilling, but I did quilting some years ago. Still love it, but it is so time consuming. And spare timesince cardmakingis unique....lol.

Love the colours of the papers you have used. The soft tones really match the feeling the quilted image evokes.

I had a fabulous sewing teacher when I was 10/11 and she taught me to quilt by hand. I hand stitched fabric onto hexagon templates of card and then you slip stitched the edges together with tiny stitches. It took me 3 years but I made a bedspread for my parents which they kept for years. I am so grateful to that teacher for firing my passion to sew and craft.

I was wondering what you would come up with for Q. Love the quilted deer. I have done quilling in the past but found it very time consuming. I'd have to start now for next year!! Got to think of a QUICK one for today to keep up with the challenge.

Such a cute card. Love the cute pieces of different patterns just like a quilt sewn together. Quilting was my passion prior to paper crafting. Unfortunately shoulder problems put an end to that love. So, I was blessed to find out about making cards. A little late to the game but I'm so happy to enjoy our little big paper crafting world. [Bunny]

Beautiful card, Beccy! I, too, chose Quilt for my Q card but used a completely different image this year. I had previously used the Quilted Reindeer. Love your colors on him. :-D
