I have this fabulous embossing folder in my collection that adds a wonderful quilted texture to my card stock. To really emphasise the design, I added some clear versamark ink to one side of the folder, embossed on a piece of kraft card stock, and then heat set white embossing powder over the pattern.
YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "Q" as your prompt.

oh no, is it already time for Q, at the beginning of the challenge I collected my already printed and stamped christmas images and found four of the same images and thought they will be great for Q for Quartet, but I haven't colored one yet. Time flies by so quick when your having fun!
Your card is beautiful, love the soft coloring of the gnome and a fantastic background folder!

Oh my goodness!! What a clever idea. I never would have thought of that. I love the little snowflakes on the gnome's hat and the dots on the presents. I learn a lot from you about those little details. Lovely card!
What an effective technique with the embossing folder and heat embossing. I'll have to give this a try. It makes a fabulous background for your adorable little gnome. xx
What a funny character! I love also the background.
And of course the embossing!
Thank you for the smile, Beccy!
Cheers!

Never heard of that embossing folder - but great balls of fire - look what Beccy has done - Amazing work on that card - and the GNOME-- how wonderfully is that colored up!! Very cool embossed design for your background! I love the way the white embossing looks with your kraft base! The gnome is just adorable! Awesome card!
I love that embossing folders have made a comeback, and there's so manynthings you can do with it. Did you know there's a fairly new challenge dedicated to using embossing folders? It's called Let's squash it.
Anyway, love what you did with your pretty ef.

Your gnome looks rather joyful with his presents! I love the background and would love to know where you got the quilted embossing folder. Great pattern! It would make a beautiful quilt for a bedspread! Love the color combination too!
QUITE DELIGHTFUL card!
LOVE your joyful Christmas gnome, ADORE your quilted background - WOW - the embossing is GORGEOUS!
Before surgery quilting was my favorite way to spend down time. I'm so glad that I finally found card making. It's a whole lot quicker to make a card but oh how I miss quilting. Picking out the beautiful fabrics. I'm forever thankful that my Sunday School teacher taught me how to hand quilt and sew a pretty decent straight line.
Oh i just love that folder is it new. Those gnomes are fab and love technique have used with a rain folder on a recent card
Beautiful embossingfolder. It looks like knitting (when I was a young girl my mother always knitted the most wonderful jumpers, and this pattern reminds me of one of them). She is 94 now and is still knitting (but not as complexed as then).
Love the gnome!

I've always admired a quilt design and this is gorgeous, Beccy! I don't rmember seeing this quilted embossing folder before but it's perfect for the letter Q and I love your embossing technique! Beautiful card!
Love the background and of course your gnome Beccy....I love the touch of color....well done and TFS
The softest of greens makes for a lovely feel to this card. Your colouring on the gnome is awesome, the folds seem to have loads of texture.
Oooo, I want that fabulous embossing folder, Becky! You did beautiful work with the white EP. I think maybe I can use one of my quilting dies (when I finally catch up and get to "Q" this weekend. I have three relatively empty days starting today which I can dedicate to Christmas cards and I'm determined to fill in those blank spaces (since I haven't been working in alphabetical order!) Thanks for the inspiration on "Q." :-D
Cute card!
