Day 15 - "M"

"M" is for manger, the humble cradle that held the baby Jesus in the Nativity story. I coloured the image with pencils, then used an eraser to add a halo around the baby's head. You can find a tutorial for the technique HERE.

YOUR TURN: Create a card using the letter "M" as your prompt.

Such a beautiful traditional card. Fewer and fewer such cards, which is a pity. I am steeped in tradition and still make such cards. Thank you for these stamps, for the tradition.

It's amazing what you've done with an eraser. My eraser could use some lessons!

Beautiful colouring. I must get my pencils out and give that halo effect a go.

Oh Beccy I soooo love this set and if hadn’t made all my cards would be using the set right now that I’ve won already, but will soon... I make Christmas cards all year around! As I love them.
I particularly love the assorted greetings in this set too, you’ve coloured it exquisitely of course! Clever technique to add the halo, wouldn’t have thought of that!
Thanks fir sharing your clever techniques. Hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Beccy the halo effect is just stunning, really sets off the image so well and is so soft and subtle.

Beccy, your coloring on this card is gorgeous! Looks like it was painted by an "old master" vs. a vibrant young(ish) artist!!

Hi Beccy, a superb way to add detail that I would not have thought of, I've so many cards left over from last year that I need to use up, so plenty of watching, just not playing. I also entered a couple of cards made with your Waratah stamp set in the Craft Alive event held last month, they are heading over to the UK later this week... Thank you for the inspiration have a wonderful week... Megan
