I stamped the image of baby Jesus onto blue cardstock with coordinating ink, then coloured with pencils for a no-line look. The wreath around the image was made by layering three die cuts and adding tiny dots of silver liquid pearls.

Day 14 - "L"

The little lambs from the Lamb of God set are the perfect subjects for today's prompt. I've used the pre-coloured digital stamp for my card along with a large sentiment from the same set.

Day 15 - "M"

"M" is for manger, the humble cradle that held the baby Jesus in the Nativity story. I coloured the image with pencils, then used an eraser to add a halo around the baby's head. You can find a tutorial for the technique HERE.

Tutorial - Scraplet Cards

I may be overly optimistic to call this a tutorial since it's basically just an A-frame card, but I have been a little obsessed with these cards ever since I discovered them in last year's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Nancy Soetaert had some wonderful examples on her BLOG, and it was like a light bulb moment for me. All those little strips of card stock, previously banished to the scrap drawer, now had a new and wonderful purpose! Let me show you how...

I use a lot of A4 sized card stock to make my cards, which is a very common size here in Australia. Generally, I trim these down to 11" x 51/2" for a good sized square card, leaving me with a strip of card stock measuring around 111/2" 23/4", which ends up in the scrap drawer for sentiments, punch shapes, or whatever little snippet I might need. Today, that's the piece we're going to use.

1. Start with a piece of A4 card stock. Trim 51/2" from one long edge, and reserve for later card making.

2. Place the thin strip horizontally on your scoreboard and score at 57/8" (or just fold in half if you prefer).
This is the card base for our scraplet card!

3. Now all you have to do is decorate. Because these little scraplets are so narrow, you can add elements that are much wider than the base and still use an ordinary envelope. They're fabulous for using up scraps of patterned paper, ribbon and any other off-cuts you might have.

I hope you enjoy making these little cards as much as I do!

Glory to the Newborn King

I really don't need any more Christmas cards but I'm still feeling super inspired by all the fabulous entries from the November challenge. I keep returning to the gallery to look at all the wonderful cards... it's very easy to spend a lot of time there!

This little image is from the new Lamb of God clear stamp set, coloured with Prismacolor pencils on smooth card stock and layered on patterned paper. The star is punched from silver mirror card with a layer of dimensional magic for some extra shine.

New Release: Lamb of God

Our new Lamb of God images are the first designs that we're releasing as both clear and digital stamps. The digital version contains both black and white line drawings as well as full colour images for quick and easy crafting. Both sets include five mix and match sentiments to coordinate with the images.

Day 11 - BINGO GRID

It's a bonus challenge day today and it's one of my personal favourites... a bingo grid!

For those who haven't used a bingo grid before, simply select one line from the grid and make a card that features each of the items specified. Your line can be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal depending on what appeals to you. For instance, I used the centre vertical line in the box - digital stamp, pencils or markers, ribbon or lace.

YOUR TURN: Use one line from the bingo grid to create a card.
