A big thank you to all who have served and are still serving. We have much to be thankful for due to the sacrifices of so many. That includes their families, also. [Bunny]

Thank you for your card Beccy. I did not know what the date 11-11 means to you in Australia. Jet again, I have learnt something from you.
I agree so much with you. We can not forget the sacrifice our heroes have made, nor the sacrifices of their families. Thank you for reminding us.

What a beautiful symbol of remembrance. In the U.S. today we celebrate Veteran's Day. I did some research and see that Australia also remembers those who have died in armed conflict on November 11. What a wonderful tribute to take a moment of silence at 11 A.M. Thanks for posting this lovely reminder!

Thank You for sharing your poppy for Remembrance Day Beccy.

It has always been an important day in our family and given the lockdowns affecting us the last couple of years, there is a lot more awareness and respect shared through the generations in the broader community too.

In America - we will never forget when we talk about 9/11-- and I did not know about Nov 11 until I read Donna writing-- for those who die in armed conflict on Nov 11-- we all have much to be thankful for when the men and women in the armed forces die so me might live. God's blessing to all.

Thank you for this, Beccy. Never in my lifetime have our freedoms been more important or threatened. Like many, I have taken my freedom for granted, but not any more. I pray that more people will stand up and fight as our forefathers have. Thinking of you on this important day.

We in the UK celebrate Remembrance Day today with a much bigger parade for Remembrance Sunday. My maternal Grandad served in the Navy and my paternal Grandad served in the Army in the 2nd World War and we were fortunate that they both returned home. I will always have the utmost respect for the people who were lost in conflict to give us the freedom we have today and wear my poppy with pride.

Thankyou for your beautiful poppy and the moment of reflection.
