Day 15 - "M"

I love this little mouse from the Christmouse Wishes set of digital stamps... he reminds me of my extended family right before a big meal starts. To be fair, we all get in and help with the cooking, table setting and arranging, then sit back and eagerly wait for the feasting to begin!

YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "M" as your prompt.

Bright and Cheerful

Carla has created two different cards using one of the little mice from the Little Surprises set of digital stamps, and decorated with die cut flowers and leaves. The bright green with pops of red and yellow make for festive cards that are sure to bring a smile to someone's face.

A Little Joy

Colours that sit opposite each other on the colour wheel, such as red and green, always look striking when placed together. I've kept the rest of my card simple by using plain white cardstock as a contrast.

Just For You

Check out the fabulous slimline card Karin created using images from the Little Surprises set of digital stamps. She coloured two of the little mice with pencils, layered them onto red cardstock and positioned them inside this fabulous die cut frame, along with a couple of sentiments, patterned paper and embellishments. Fun!

Bright and Cheerful

When originally designing this set, I had visions of this little guy wearing a deep green tam o' shanter and vest, but when I sat down to colour, I found myself going for a much brighter colour scheme!

Little Somethings

Deanne has coloured this little guy to coordinate with the collection of patterned papers she used on the base of her card. Some glitter and glossy accents add sparkle and shine to her cute birthday card!

Day 13 - Humorous

Today's challenge is to create a card or project that will bring a smile to someone's face... and with all the fabulously funny images and sentiments out there, I'm sure this won't be too difficult a challenge. I've used the little mouse from the Christmouse Wishes set of digital stamps, who just happens to be loosely based on the members of my family (myself included) as we line up around the Christmas table at lunchtime!

Day 15 - "M"

We've arrived at the letter "M", which means we're now half way through our Month of Holiday Cards challenge! I hope your card stash is growing nicely - don't forget that the cards you make can be for any holiday throughout the year, not just Christmas.

Hello

It's all about the green and gold today, with a green and gold colouring palette and green and gold cardstock... which was actually coloured with the same markers I used for the image. The sentiment is from the same digital set as the little mouse and printed at the same time.

Cute Window Card

Kathy has created an adorable window card that perfectly frames Ebeneezer from the new Little Cuties set of digital stamps. She's added a wonderful country scene in the background and given him a warmly glowing candle created from a piece of yellow vellum. The image panel lifts up to reveal a second sentiment and a place to add a personal greeting.

Deanne's Little Cutie

Deanne has created this cute card by printing the coloured version of Jacques, one of the characters from the new Little Cuties set, and fussy cutting right up against the outline of the image. She attached him to a bright yellow card base with foam tape and then added a couple of different mediums to his eyes and to the flower he's holding.

Kathy's Odd Bods

We're headed to Kathy's place today to meet some odd little critters featured on her latest projects.
Her first card has been decorated both on the front, with a pink-cheeked elephant, and inside where you'll find a little mouse reluctant to grow up! Kathy has used two of the sentiments from the Odd Bods set to complete her card.

This second card features the odd sheep from the same set of digital stamps. Kathy printed it several times so she could build up the image to give it a 3D look. She also embossed some texture into the sheep's wool for a fabulous curly look!

Day 4 - "D"

It's "D" day today, and for me that means doodling!
I love changing up my stamps, whether traditional or digital, to make them suitable for occasions other than the original design. One of the easiest ways to do that is by adding little hats or items of clothing, such as a bright red Santa hat.

I decided to work with the little mouse from the Odd Bods digital stamp set. He has a nice open space at the top of his head that's perfect to hold a warm and fuzzy Santa hat, which I sketched in with a pencil then lined with a permanent pen. A splash of colour from my Prismacolor pencils and my little mouse is all set for the holidays!
