Sentiment Mini Set

Over the last couple of weeks my designers and I have been working on a big set of little images!  The Sentiment Mini Set contains 20 images, each with it's own little sentiment in plain text below the image.  They are simple to colour and designed so that they are generally easy to layer for great 3D effects, plus they can be used as tiny little images for those who like simple, clean cards, or as larger pictures for full sized projects.

Today I'm going to show you the cards that Vivien and Cheryl have created with some of the images in the set.  Tomorrow I'll post some examples from Eret and myself using some of the other designs.

 All Beccy's Place images come with a black and white line drawing as well as a colour version.  This set contains 20 black and white line drawings and 20 coloured images.

 

Vivien created the six gorgeous cards above.

 

Cheryl made these three wonderful cards using multiple copies of each image.

Candy Canes

I had a wonderful time designing and then colouring these candy canes, adding lots of highlights to get everything looking shiny and festive.  We all used the coloured image on our projects this week, which is always included with every purchased design.

Vivien added a lovely paper bow to her Christmas card.

Eret dry embossed the background of her

card and added some glitter to the bow.

Cheryl built up the image with some foam tape

to give extra dimension to the candy canes.

I made several cards with this image using

different coloured cardstock and rhinestones.

Pears and Mistletoe

I love drawing and colouring pears and think they look great trimmed for Christmas with festive ribbons and foliage.  This image was really enjoyable to colour since there is so much open space and plenty of opportunity for shading and highlighting.

Eret used the spotlight technique to create this beautiful card.

Vivien's card has been done in gorgeous shades of teal and peach.

I was going for a soft, dreamy look... hmmmm, blurry chic??

Daisy Jug

This week we are taking a brief respite from Christmas with some sunny, happy daisy images.  These flowers are perfect for almost any occasion and can be coloured to match your embellishments and papers or to personalise your project for someone special.

Tutorial - S-Fold Cards

Ready for another quick card folding tutorial?

Well, here it is... this one is quick and easy and looks fantastic.

My favourite kind of tutorial!

 

1.  Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 51/2" x 11".

 

2.  Fold it in half so you end up with a card measuring 51/2" square.

 

3.  Fold the front flap back toward the spine, which gives you the basic s-fold card.

 

 

4.  Now it's a simple matter to decorate your card.  Have fun!

Snowman Fence

At Christmas time there are people who decorate anything that doesn't move... they are my kinds of folks!  Anyway, I got to thinking about what you could do to dress up a lovely white picket fence for the holidays (it was a slow day for me!) and this is what I came up with...

Poinsettia Ornament

I have another ornament image for you today in the beautiful, rich colours of a traditional Christmas.  But as you can see from the samples below, the image also looks great in other colours and is easily personalised.

Eret coloured the image with gorgeous non-traditional pinks and blues.

Vivien has gone black and white for a very elegant look.

 

Cheryl layered the ornaments multiple times to add lots of dimension.

 

I added some glitter for a little bit of extra sparkle.

Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the girls over at Link Up For Pink are again working to help raise awareness of the many issues surrounding cancer care, detection and early intervention.  Their second annual link up party is just kicking off with over 100 prizes up for grabs, lots of inspiration and some great deals... stop by their blog to find out how you can get involved!

 

 

I have designed a couple of images for you to use on your cards and projects.  They are titled "hope" and "support", two vital ingredients for all those touched by cancer.
