Row Of Hearts

I have a little card-making tutorial to share with you today, using the row of hearts from the Must Be Love digital stamp set. The card base is a slimline design, made from black card stock and measuring about 3" x 81/4".

Open the coloured image in MSWord or a photo editing program and resize it to 8" long (most programs will adjust the height automatically so the image doesn't get stretched). Add a sentiment in the top right hand corner, then print.

Use a craft knife to cut around each heart. I kept the blade to the inside of the heavy black line and simply ignored all the stitches. Take care in the area between hearts as the card stock becomes quite narrow.

Secure the card stock strip to the card base with liquid glue or tape. I've left a thin border around the edges of my image panel by trimming it to fit.

Now add foam tape to each of the spaces and secure the hearts in place. I finished my card by applying a liberal coat of Nuvo aqua shimmer on each heart and around the edge of the card base.

New Release: Wild About You

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and it's time to get those last minutes cards finished and passed out to all those special people in your life.  I designed this set with extended family and friends in mind, rather than spouses or partners.  I think the little animals would be perfect on cards for grandchildren, siblings or classmates.

Be My Bear

This little bear is about to surprise his very special Valentine with a big candy heart!  This image would also work well for birthday cards, Thinking of You, I'm Sorry, I Love You, I Miss You... just about anything really.

Eret created this gorgeous chocolate packet.

Viv made a sweet red and white Valentine greeting.

I printed the image on dark brown cardstock and then
used white and light browns to colour the highlights.

Valentine Pony

My oldest daughter loves drawing ponies and she's exceptionally good at it too.  She gave me a lesson a couple of weeks back, and although this isn't the original pony I drew, it is a direct descendent... many times revised!

Sentiment Mini Set

Over the last couple of weeks my designers and I have been working on a big set of little images!  The Sentiment Mini Set contains 20 images, each with it's own little sentiment in plain text below the image.  They are simple to colour and designed so that they are generally easy to layer for great 3D effects, plus they can be used as tiny little images for those who like simple, clean cards, or as larger pictures for full sized projects.
Today I'm going to show you the cards that Vivien and Cheryl have created with some of the images in the set.  Tomorrow I'll post some examples from Eret and myself using some of the other designs.

All Beccy's Place images come with a black and white line drawing as well as a colour version.  This set contains 20 black and white line drawings and 20 coloured images.

Vivien created the six gorgeous cards above.

Cheryl made these three wonderful cards using multiple copies of each image.

Heart with Blossoms

I have a lovely soft, feminine design for you again today.  I think this one would work beautifully for a birthday, wedding or anniversary card or even for Christmas cards if you coloured it with lovely traditional colours.

Vivien made this beautiful easel card following the shape of the heart.  She has left some room on the design to stamp a sentiment to customise it for the recipient.

Carla created a beautiful over the edge card by cutting out the image and adhering it over the top of the card front.  This is Carla's last card as guest designer for the month.  It's been a pleasure having you on board Carla!

Quilt Hearts Set

It's no secret by now that I love quilts in all their different shapes and sizes.  And given that I don't have the patience to actually sew a real quilt, I get my fix by designing quilty images that look lovely on cards and scrapbook pages.
Today's design is all about love.  The set contains one coloured image (as shown below) plus four black and white line drawings.  It's available in store now.
