SUPPLY LIST
- Dog Gone It card making kit - one sheet of each design
- small sharp scissors for fussy cutting
- paper trimmer
- adhesives - liquid glue, foam tape, double-sided tape
- two A5 card bases - tent fold
- clear liquid medium, rhinestones, enamel dots, or similar, if desired
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut out the patterned paper and images from the card kit, as indicated in the cutting guide above.
2. Trim both pieces of patterned paper to 10cm x 14cm.
3. Hold the two pieces of patterned paper firmly together and tear about 1/3 of the length. (NOTE: if you have trouble keeping the paper together, consider using a small bull dog clip on either end to hold them in place)
4. Mix and match the pieces as desired and secure them to your card base, leaving a small gap between the torn edges. Keep the border even around all four sides. Set one aside.
5. To decorate the first card, you'll need five of the pug dog images, the striped and plain balls, the "Pugs & Kisses" sentiment, and the bone image. Choose one of the pugs and adhere to the top of the sentiment panel taking care not to obscure the text.
6. Secure the striped ball to the back, left-hand-side of the sentiment. Adhere the blue ball to the front of the sentiment, covering the bottom, left-hand corner, then secure the bone over the right-hand corner, on a slight angle and extending almost to the blue ball. See the photos below for placement.
7. Secure two pug images to the card base, about 2cm from the top of the card, with their feet over-lapping and their ears close together, but not quite touching.
8. Secure two more pugs over the top, close to either side of the card, and keeping the tops of their heads below the muzzles of the first pair.
9. Use foam tape to secure the first pug and sentiment in the centre, toward the bottom of the card.
10. OPTIONAL: For a fun, "pug-eyed-look", add some clear liquid medium over the eyes.
11. To decorate the second card, you'll need the Old English Sheepdog image, three gifts, the spotted ball, and the "Howling Good Time" sentiment panel.
12. Use liquid glue to attach the striped gift behind the dog, keep the base of the gift a little higher than the dog's back paws.
13. Adhere the dark blue box behind the first gift, keeping it slightly higher to give the illusion of distance. (NOTE: Before you secure the blue box with glue, do a quick measurement against the card base to ensure the images don't extend over the edges.)
14. Secure the dog and gifts to the card base, about 1.5cm from the bottom edge.
15. Adhere the spotted ball over the bottom, right corner of the last gift box, then secure to the front of the card with foam tape.
16. Use foam tape to secure the sentiment panel to the top of the card. If desired, scatter some rhinestones, enamel dots, or similar, around the sentiment panel.
