The trick for great white on white cards is texture, and lots of it. Embossing, textiles, embellishments and layers of card stock will reflect light and cast shadows so that the viewer can discern the different elements. Although you can also do this with other light colours, white is best because it reflects more light than any other colour or tone.
YOUR TURN: Create a card using only white card stock, paper and embellishments.

Lovely card, making it all white really gives it a peaceful feel to it.
Very pretty, I have always loved white on white
I love white on white cards they are just so classy and the embossing and texture really pops.

I've always thought white and white and often tone on tone are such elegant cards. I just put a card on my blog for almost white on white, but the challenge also called for a pop of red. I love the framing and the poinsettias. It amazes me how many different colors of poinsettias there are. Last year we bought a blue poinsettia for Alexander's funeral. I bought another one this year in his memory but I noticed they had a lot of different color including orange. They had them decorating the store in a rainbow pattern and it was gorgeous. While I love all the color that's in the world, I also love the simple elegance of your white on white.
Wowser!! Is there any technique you are not good at?!! I have the hardest time with white on white so I shy away. You rocked it!!
Love your classy white on white card!

your card is pure beauty!
Stunning. I will need to try and add some texture to make a white on white. Thanks for the tip.
Love white on white, beautiful card.
Your white on white design and layout is very versatile. It's very pretty, here as a holiday card. I think it would work well with other die cut words, especially a sympathy or thinking of you sentiment. Thanks for the inspiration.
DELIGHTFUL card Beccy!!!
I ADORE your wonderful white-on-white layers and textures!!!
... one of my favourite "colour" combos :)
All I can say is WOW! Stunning card.
Beautiful!
Beautiful card....I always loved white on white...well done
I'll remember to add my texture and more layers on my white card.
Thanks for the tip.
This is so elegant and beautiful, Beccy! I have to admit that I find making white-on-white cards a bit scary. I have never actually made one! I came close, but I added a coloured image so it wasn't truly white on white. I think you are right about adding the layers and texture!
Love the texture and dimension you have achieved with just the white cardstock. I tend to turn to vellum to add interest to a WoW card (not that I have made many), but I will now make an effort to stick to paper only. Thanks for the inspiration!
