I really enjoyed creating the background for today's card using embossed snowflakes, some blue and green Distress markers and a LOT of water. I started by adding the snowflakes with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder, which is a technique called emboss resist, and then went crazy with my markers, a spritz bottle and a water brush. I kept adding layers of colour until I was happy with the result.

Lovely background. I love the emboss resist. The swirls of color always amaze me and no matter what I try they will never come out the same. That's the beauty of it. Each one is original. Gorgeous card!
wow, I love the emboss resist but I use this technique very rarely ... all this embossing powder everywhere, brr ...
So pretty. It's high time I had a go at this technique again. Hopefully things will quiet down a bit next week, so that I have a little more crafty time...
