Colouring For Texture

Sometimes I play around with my markers just to see what kind of result I'll get. In this case, I used long narrow strokes to colour the water and sky, not worrying too much about blending the colours together. For the sand, I chose a stippling technique that I think gives it a coarser, grainier texture.

Image Catalogue

Another addition to my hand-coloured stamp catalogue, this time using the "Smooth Seas" clear stamps coloured with Prismacolor pencils. My favourite image in this set is the little seahorse. I love to mask and stamp layers of the image to create a colourful shoal (or would it be a herd?) of seahorses.
