Day 1 - "A"
For the first day of our challenge we're going to start at the very beginning... a very good place to start. You can use any "A" word as inspiration for your project, from techniques to card folds, colours to holiday icons. I went with "A" for alcohol ink, which I've used to create the mottled paper, colour the image and also tint the ribbon to the right shade of green.
At the bottom of my post I've included some Inspiration Words to help get those creative juices flowing. I'll do my best to brainstorm a list of words for you each day, and when I say "brainstorm", I actually mean surf the net!
Your Turn: Create a holiday themed card using the letter "A" as your prompt.

I've been making lots of these piggy cards lately, I think these guys are so cute, but I promise that this is the last one for a little while... I've even put the stamp set away so I'm not tempted to make more.

This Little Piggy
I'm not exactly sure what occasion I can use this card for, but I loved making it! Fortunately, I have a sister and a friend who are both crazy about pigs, so I know it will come in handy at some point.

CAS on Kraft
Just a little piggy, sitting on a little card.
Originally, I just had the pig and sentiment on the card, but it looked too clean and simple and not quite finished. I decided to use a white pen to add a border (Signo brand for anyone who's curious), and a scattering of some Nuvo crystal dots.

Little Oinkers
Just a quick card share from me today, I'm about to brave the winter weather for an important meeting in our town. And when I say winter, I mean it's forecast to reach 25C (77F) today... and when I say meeting, I mean a chat, coffee and laugh with friends!

Oink!
I used one of the stamps from the Doris & Daphne set and added a muddy puddle with a black fine point pen. The result? One very happy and very fine little pig.

New Release: Doris & Daphne
My friend Pete has two pet pigs, named Bubble & Squeak, that she absolutely adores. She assures me that they're as smart as dogs and as loving as human toddlers, and I imagine they're probably just as messy! Every time I see Pete, she has a new story to tell me about her pigs and the adventures they get up to with her great Dane called Marvin. They are the inspiration for this latest set of stamps...
