Day 5 - "E"

Eggnog doesn't seem to be all that popular where I live, it's not a drink I often see listed on menus or café boards despite its strong association with the holidays. I have tried it, and quite liked the mix of lovely spices and flavours, which are definitely reminiscent of Christmas.

Honestly, I had no idea about 'eggnog'. So, I google it and found a lot of recipes:

in an interesting site!
Lovely these delicious wishes! Good for the soul!

Egg-nog is not a drink I see around here either. Not even tempted to try it - I'll stick to hot chocolate. Love the colours you chose for this card.

I have never had eggnog but as children we had a Christmas treat of Advocaat which is a bottled alcoholic version of it I guess. We had it at Grandad's and you make a snowball drink with it by mixing it with lemonade. One time it curdled really bad and made me feel so sick that I have never drunk Advocaat ever since......the very thought of it some 40+ years later makes me go bluergh!

I do love your festive drinks and the more muted colours of your card work really well.

Such a cute card Beccy. I would never have thought of Egg Nogg with this image. Great job.

I like eggnog too. It's so thick and creamy. It's certainly a holiday treat here on the East Coast of the US.

SUPER SWEET card Beccy!

... OK, I confess, I'm kind of glad that Eggnog hasn't been adopted for our HOT summer Christmas celebrations Down Under, I love my spices but eggnog is a flavour that hasn't tickled my tastebuds, I'd rather something cold and sparkling, all year long :)

That looks like it would taste wonderful! I like eggnog, and with that whipped cream I think it would be especially good!

Not sure if its an Australian national thing, or just here in South Australia, but we get cold egg nog in the carton. Im guessing you might be able to heat it ??

The eggnog on your stamps looks inviting. However, we never drank it at home. Maybe I will think this year or not to add it to the Christmas drinks.

I am not sure I've ever even tried eggnog. I had the impression as a child that it had raw eggs in it, and that's not something I was interested in trying LOL. This digi of yours is a favourite and so much fun to colour! Beautiful card and lovely colour combo!

Great looking card Beccy and the colors are a perfect fit.
Never had eggnog I'm not big on milk but your eggnog image looks great.

OH! My goodness, what a link to the past, as a child 70 plus years ago, it was one of the few drinks that we had in the house at Christmas. Egg Nogg was my Mother's favourite, I loved the foaminess of it when it was filled up with lemonade! OH! What a wonderful memory. Thank you Beccy. Love your card too!

I love a good, non-alcoholic eggnog and your mug does the drink full justice, Beccy. I'm not sure minty candy canes would really be a good flavor companion to eggnog but I'd happily eat them afterward. :-D Wonderful color combo!
