Day 26 - Memories of Yore

When I was a kid we used to make these little puddings out of card board or (if the school had a little extra money that year) felt fabric.  I don't know how many pudding cards, posters, brooches, decorations and pictures I dragged home to my parents over the years, but it sure was a lot!  My favourite part was always cutting out the drippy custard topping.

I hadn't thought about them for years until a recent Pinterest visit where I came across a cute little paper craft project by Lindsey Mortimer.  Well... out came the scissors and before I knew what was happening my fingers were cutting drippy custard and a goofy smile had plastered itself to my face!  I was transported back to my primary school days sitting in a hot classroom celebrating an Aussie summer Christmas with traditional cold climate images and loving every minute of it!

YOUR TURN:  Cast your mind back to the projects you did as a child, then bring them back to life in a Christmas paper craft project.  Let me know if a goofy smile crosses your face too!
Upload your creations here.

Actually, your pudding brought a goofy smile to my face too (& I must admit also a little lump to my throat) My Mom always made Christmas pudding with yummy custard sauce....it just wasn't Christmas without it! This will be our first Christmas without that wonderful pudding. Thanks for stirring the lovely memories!
Hugs, Renee

Yummy. Mum too used to make the best pudding around along with her Russian salad [which included beetroot and baked beans], potato salad and traditionally summer Christmas but the pudding was the best...miss mum...xxxx
