December Challenge

Create a card or project using any Beccy's Place digital image, free or purchased, upload a photo of it to your blog and submit a direct link below.  The challenge runs from now until midnight on the 31st of December 2013 (AEST).

Your project must be created during the month of December 2013.  You can enter as many times as you like and you can submit your card to any other challenge you wish. At the end of the month three random winners will be chosen to receive their choice of either a full set of digital stamps or three individual digital images from my online store.  Good luck!

Don't have a blog?  No worries!  Email a photo of your card or project to me at beccymuir@yahoo.com and I will post it on my Guest Blog and link it to the challenge for you.

Another beauty Beccy, quite possibly my favourite card of the month, mostly because I love natural things and also clean and simple cards too. Thanks for the month of fun and inspiration.

Day 30 - Do What You Love

Ultimately, the best cards are going to be the ones you love making.  I think it's particularly important for those people who mass produce their cards, either for themselves or for sale, to use items they love, otherwise it will quickly become a chore.

YOUR TURN:  Show me the cards you love to create.

Great idea! This would make life a lot simplier. Beautiful Card, I love it

Day 29 - Digital Images

It's probably not a surprise that digital stamps make my list, but I know I'm not alone in loving them.  They are versatile, inexpensive and come in a huge range that covers every possible card-making occasion, recipient, and theme.  They can be resized, flipped, digitally coloured, printed and merged... the freedom of digitals, and the ease of storage, is what really makes them popular with card makers.

YOUR TURN: Grab your favourite Christmas digital stamp and make a card.

Gorgeous card Beccy and it looks like a wintery night outside whilst warm and cozy inside. The tree lights look wonderfully effective too. Thank you for your continued inspiration this month, even if you did end up a bit like a Smurfette!

Day 28 - All About the Sentiment

Instead of relegating the sentiment to a little corner of your card place it as the focal point and make it the shining star!  Using just a sentiment is great if you need to make lots of cards quickly because you can set up a production line for the stamping then simply decorate with patterned paper and ribbon.

YOUR TURN: Create a card that has a sentiment as it's focal point.

Actually, your pudding brought a goofy smile to my face too (& I must admit also a little lump to my throat) My Mom always made Christmas pudding with yummy custard sauce....it just wasn't Christmas without it! This will be our first Christmas without that wonderful pudding. Thanks for stirring the lovely memories!
Hugs, Renee

Day 27 - Sparkle and Glow

I had a great time creating this single layer card... even though my hands looked like they belonged on a Smurf by the time I was finished!  I masked off the "window panes", sponged on lots of blue ink, stamped some trees and birds then added lots of glitter, shine and sparkle.  I was aiming for a wintery night with frosty windows and the soft glow of Christmas lights.  I don't know if that's exactly what I achieved but it's close enough to keep me happy!

YOUR TURN: Pull out all those bottles of glitter, glitz, sparkle and shine and create a card that glows and twinkles with holiday cheer!
