With white on white, I think the texture is so important. I love the texture in your card! That snowflake just jumps off the card. Really gorgeous!

Day 14 - Christmas Symbols

There are lots of symbols that represent the celebration of Christmas, from evergreen boughs to jolly old Santa.  Fortunately for card makers we are spoiled for choice when it comes to subjects for stamping and colouring.  Sometimes it's fun to work with a lesser used symbol such as a plum pudding, pair of ice skates or in my case, a sleigh.

YOUR TURN:  Use a Christmas symbol as the focal point of your card.

Such a beautiful white on white card Beccy! This is something I've never done but I am quite tempted to give it a go seeing the outcome of yours! Thanks for the inspiration!

Day 13 - White with One

Technically this is a monochromatic card, meaning it uses one colour in various tones and shades with white at one end of the tonal spectrum and black at the other... but it's much more fun saying "white with one" because that's how I like my coffee!

YOUR TURN:  Create a card using a "white with one" colour scheme.
You can choose any colour you like as well as black and white.

So you can see that you do not much need to make something beautiful.
A lovely border punch and nice colors.
A great card !

Day 12 - White on White

White on white is one of my favourite styles of card.  The important thing to remember when making these cards is that you need lots of texture (layering, embossing, textiles, embellishments, etc.) to catch the light and form shadows around the different elements making them more visible.

YOUR TURN:  Create a white on white card or project.

10 from 10

I think it's time for some more winners!
I've been looking through all the beautiful entries in this month's challenge so far.  Everyone has been doing a wonderful job getting their cards made, but there are a few people who have actually managed to create and enter ten cards in ten days!  I think they deserve a little prize to keep them motivated.

Ow I like this one very much, Beccy. The wreath is so nice. If you make this a little bigger, you can hang it on your frontdoor! (0_-)
The colors are again beautiful.

Day 11 - Border Punches

Border punches are wonderful tools for card makers.  They are easy to use, require no electricity and come in a wide variety of patterns to suit most occasions.  Today, I've used a snowflake border punch to make several really simple cards... plus I've kept all the little snowflakes to use as embellishments on other projects!

YOUR TURN:  Use a border punch on your Christmas card.

Beautiful card Beccy! I've become addicted to dry embossing! It makes it so easy to turn something ordinary into something extraordinary!

Day 10 - Wreaths

I had a wonderful time creating this wreath from scraps of green cardstock and a couple of foliage punches.  I added a simple sentiment stamped on a scrap of cardstock and some self-adhesive pearls to give the impression of baubles.

YOUR TURN: Create your own wreath card.
