Day 13 - "K"

Kraft cardstock is so versatile and looks fabulous with almost every colour. I've used it, along with one of my favourite techniques, to create these four Christmas cards. Just for fun, I've also included a two-part time lapse of the poinsettia being coloured.

YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "K" as your prompt.

Sentimental

"Sentimental" is a new set of clear stamps, available through our fabulous retailers.

Okay... before you say "not another set of flower stamps", let me give you three good reasons why this set should be added to your collection. Firstly, the lines are nice and heavy allowing more ink to transfer to your surface, giving you a great result when heat embossing as there's more powder to create the image.

It's also great for coloured stamping, again because the thicker lines mean more ink can be held and transferred. Particularly handy for techniques such as water colouring or outline stamping.

The second reason is size. This is not a small stamp, but it's also not so gigantic that it becomes an all day event to colour. It will fit nicely on a card front without having to add any further embellishments if you don't wish to. It's also easy to cut out and layer, paper tole style, as you can see from the purple card above.

The third reason this stamp is so useful is the layout of the image. The flowers were designed so they could be easily stamped in separate areas of your card, allowing for even more versatility.

Just for fun, I've included a time lapse video of the image being coloured:
