Mini Album - "Our Story"

At the start of the year I resolved to make a mini album each month in an effort to reduce my enormous paper stash. I have to admit to being a little over-ambitious with my resolution... but I did manage to make a grand total of six.
This last one has a wrap around cover that closes with a cute little latch. The papers are from a 12" x 12" pad of Tim Holtz designs that I've had in my collection for many years. I coordinated with various embellishments that I've also had stashed away for a very long time.

Mini Album - "Our Memories"

I'm really doing my best to try and reduce the amount of paper in my stash, but no matter how many of these little books I produce, it doesn't seem to make any difference. There were too many years of purchasing and not enough creating. Darn those irresistible paper sales!

Mini Album - "This Life"

I set myself a challenge at the start of the year to create a mini album per month in order to use up some of my patterned paper stash. We're now nine months in and so far I've made a total of four! I may not be the most proficient mathematician, but even I know I'm a few books short of a library.
Anyways, here is number four... created for a friend who wanted something hand-made for a member of their family.

Love This Life

This is the third little album I've made this year, it's part of my attempt to reduce the amount of paper I've accumulated over the years. Creating one album a month should reduce my stash by a significant amount, or at least I hope it will. So far I haven't seen much of a dent, but with nine left to make I should be able to notice something by the end of the year... right?!

Itty Bitty Album

This little album is only 4" square, but I packed in as many fold outs, tags and bonus pages as I could. The last photo gives you an idea of all the little hidden spaces for journaling, memorabilia and pictures.

That's two albums down... 10 to go before the year is done!

"My Memories" Mini Album

I have a shamefully large stash of patterned papers that sit accusingly behind me while I craft. This year I resolved to put a dent in the pile by creating as many mini albums as I possibly can, most of which will end up on sale at our little craft cottage in the village where I live. I'm hoping to get one done a month, but given they each take a few days to make, I'm not sure I'll be able to complete twelve. I'm hoping my good intentions will count for something though!

Gingerbread Album

I love looking back over old photos from Christmas' past... seeing captured moments of my children when they were young and the happy faces of friends and loved ones who have since passed on. I usually add a few pages to a Christmas journal each year so that I can remember the moments we shared and the funny little things that were said and done. This year I made a mini gingerbread album filled with photos from a decade ago. I apologise for not taking photos of the album before I filled it, I was so focused on the old photos that I forgot!

Magnolia Mini Album

Generally I like to have some tags and embellishments poking out the top and sides of my mini albums, but I decided to keep this one streamlined. Each page is folded to create a pocket that contains a large, decorated tag. I decorated the front cover with a coloured and fussy cut Magnolia stamp, a die cut title, ribbon and a doily.

Beautiful Memories Mini Album

I was very sad when our local Kaisercraft outlet store closed down, but as with most clouds, there was a silver lining in the form of a huge pre-closing sale. I was lucky enough to pick up the "Mermaid Tails" range of 12"x12" papers as well as the matching die cut pack full of great images and word shapes. This week I used them to create an 8"x8" mini album titled "Beautiful Memories" that's full of inspirational quotes, pretty colours and loads of pull out tags.
