I chose pretty shades of lilac and lavender to colour one of the Christmas mittens from the Home For The Holidays digital set. Some silver mirror card and little rhinestones give the project a nice shine.

Day 3 - "C"

One of my favourite aromas at Christmastime is cinnamon, especially when it's being baked into something delicious! I add it to pancakes, French toast, biscuits, slices and cakes, and one particularly fragrant year, I even created salt dough decorations to hang around the house.

Festivities With Judy

Judy has created two fabulous, festive cards just in time for Christmas gift giving. The first features a gorgeous holly background that has been embossed and lightly sanded to help reveal the beautiful pattern. She added a stocking full of happy gingerbread men to sweeten the deal!

Judy's second creation is a gorgeous card in the shape of a bauble, complete with hanger and satin ribbon. She has decorated her project with gold card and a hand-coloured image from the Home for the Holidays set of digital stamps.

Gift Tag Set

I don't usually make my own gift tags but I seem to have accumulated a lot of card stock off-cuts this year and decided to try using them up. Since most of them are narrow strips, it seemed a good idea just to turn them into little tags. I've used the coloured version of the Home For The Holidays digital stamps, which I fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. Easy!

Day 12 - Try Something New

There are so many techniques, tutorials, card folds, embellishments, papers and new products on the market that today's challenge should be a cinch for all of us. My "something new" is a card created with my envelope maker. Although it's a tool I've used many times, I've never actually used it to make a card.

Broderie Borders

I have several large border punches that don't see the outside of the drawer too often, simply because they are so large. But today is the day! I have used one of the punches to add a pretty broderie border down both sides of my card.

Christmastime

I've made my mitten extra "snuggly" by stippling the marker rather than colouring with smooth strokes. The pigment doesn't blend evenly giving the impression of soft wool or fur. I made the background paper by using some of the alcohol markers I used to colour the image, which ensures a nice, consistent theme.

These beautiful cards have been coloured and constructed by our very talented designer, Carla Aerts. She has used wonderful, warm Christmas colours and traditional patterns to create cards that feel homey and comfortable... everything you want at Christmastime.

Carla's second creation has a rustic, wood-look background that works perfectly with the country-style image of mitten stuffed with cinnamon sticks and shiny berries.
