Day 7 - "G"

I've kept things very festive today with a red, green and gold nutcracker. The gold accents were added with a gel pen after the rest of the colouring was completed. Next to the image, I added one of the vertical sentiments from the Bountiful Balloons set, sized to the same height as the image.

YOUR TURN: Create a project using the letter "G" as your prompt.

I have to be honest.....nutcrackers I find really quite scary, especially after going to see the ballet and how large one of them was on stage.

However, your's looks like a friendly Grandad who you would not be scared of. He looks lovely in his festive colours. The shape of your card is really unusual and very inspiring.

Gorgeous green & gold Nutcracker card Beccy!!!
Your colouring and design are delightful, with the added bonus of one my favourite things to do, to mix 'n match elements from different stamp sets :)

I love the colors you put on this card and the layout. Since green is my favorite color, this might be my favorite so far.

I adore that nutcracker, Beccy, and your color choices are marvelous! Love the rounded corners on just 2 of the corners. What a delightful and different shape it gives. I have your nutcrackers and have used them a couple of times on Christmas cards since I have a daughter who collects nutcrackers of all sorts especially soldiers.

I keep seeing this card shape pop up, very unique. Like your little tab/embellishment addition. I really study your coloring and am amazed how dark your shades get down deep in the creases. Just fantastic depth which of course makes your brights pop even more . I would love to see more vertical sentiments like the celebrate. Certainly gives lots of options ~ another great card!

"Strak in het pak"?That is what we would say in Belgium :) The way he is standing there in his costume. Love the rounded corners! Creative regards, Gina

13 years ago we had our vacation in Florida (for the first time in the USA). It was December and we had a revelation: Christmas in the sun everywhere. It was also my first introduction to the Nutcrackers and since I'm a big fan. It happens that your image is laying on my desk waiting to be coloured.

Nutcrackers are like clowns, you love them or you don't! He looks regal in his red, green and gold.

I try to understand how the little fellow cracks nuts.
It's somehow unclear. But, even it's strange, he looks like a character from Alice, in wonderland.
Lovely combination of colors and I keep in mind the shape of the frame with only two round corners.
