Wishing You Peace

One of my favourite colouring techniques involves using white pencil on dark card stock. You need to ensure that you're using art pencils with nice soft centres (like chocolates!) as you'll be able to lay a lot more pigment on the page, as opposed to pencils that are very hard.

Simply brilliant! I love the detail you've achieved with the white pencil crayon. Just wondering - which brand of pencil crayons do you prefer? I have Prismacolor Premier, Faber-Castell Polychromos and most recently, Derwent Procolour coloured pencils. I'm also curious to know what you used to stamp the image with before you started colouring.

Hi Carol. I use Prismacolor pencils, they're lovely and soft and blend out beautifully. I have stamped with black versafine ink on a piece of brown card stock from Stamping Up. The ink is barely visible because of the dark card stock and the white pencil that I've used right over the stamped lines. It's much the same as a "no-line colouring" project.
Cheers,
Beccy
