Day 10 - Polka Dots

Most of us have a sheet or two (or twenty) of polka dot paper somewhere in our stash. Or perhaps you have dotty ribbon, cardstock or buttons? Whatever you've got, use it to add some dotted goodness to your holiday creation.

YOUR TURN: Add some polka dots to your holiday project.

wow, great shaped card, great layers - I love it!
I have tons of buttons at home but of course I forget to use them ;)

Day 9 - Mirror, Mirror

I had forgotten all about the beautiful mirror card that's available in my local stationery supply store... they have all the colours of the rainbow, from bright pink to a beautiful deep blue, but silver and gold are always the most popular, particularly when the holidays are just around the corner. If you've never used it, I highly recommend grabbing a couple of sheets, it's easy to work with and comes up a treat when embossed.

YOUR TURN: Let your project shine with some mirror card.

I love your snowman image....I think snowman are so cute.
Your card is adorable...
I have a canister full of buttons they are from my mother....my mother passed away a few years back so I don't use them but I do run my fingers through them...these buttons have to be at least 40 years old......thanks for sharing your card and image.

Day 8 - The Sum of the Parts

For something a little bit different, try using part of a stamp, allowing some of the design to extend off the page. This technique is probably easiest with digital stamps since they can be resized, however, large rubber or clear stamps will also work. Alternatively, you could just make a small card!

YOUR TURN: Create a card using a partial image.

Oh yes! Christmas Carols! That's my thing. I have been a music teacher and choir conductor till I got retired two years ago. So there I got the great idea for my next card. Thank you!

Day 7 - Buttons

Buttons come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and styles making them fabulous embellishments for cards and paper craft projects. You can use a single button threaded with twine to add a decorative element, as I've done for my card, or you can layer them on thick to create a focal point for your project.

YOUR TURN: Let's see how creative you can be with your buttons.

New Release: Mr. Snowflake Set

I'm sure I've said it many times before, but I just love snowmen, especially when they're a little bit quirky and unusual. This new digital stamp set features Mr. Snowman complete with corn cob pipe and jingly hat. I have a feeling he'll be popping up several more times this month!
