Growing up, we always called the items that hung from the Christmas Tree ornaments, whether they were round or novelty shaped. It wasn't until I was an adult that I learned that "baubles" are generally spherical while ornaments are anything else. So technically, this goose is cosied up with a nest full of baubles, but since that doesn't cover today's prompt I'm going to throw back to my childhood and call them ornaments!

I also call these ornaments. Along with you, it wasn't until I was older that I heard the word bauble, but they will always be baubles to me. Love your cards.
I've always called them ornaments so I think you're good. I love how the image pops against the white embossed background.
I also only knew them as ornaments until I got on line and made friends in other countries and heard them call them baubles. I like the white fern behind the nest and the snow dots. I think I like the vertical one just a tad bit more!
I'm so happy to hear that you called these 'ornaments' as a child. I wondered if 'Baubles' was a UK word or a fancy name as I too never heard of it actually until I started designing with UK teams. Either way our ornaments are treasures on my tree, each one hand made or has a story of origin making Christmas such a blessed time of year.

Ohhhh I love my orniments as much as my dog who sits looking at them. I am sure he can see his face in some of them. I have some that are from my mum that must be 40 years old. Your card is stunning lots ooohs and srhhs

We always called then Christmas ornaments - or decorations. I have a liitle box that was passed on from my Mum with a note saying that it contained decorations from the late1800s. Whether they are ornaments, decorations or baubles, they are pretty special!
I never knew this. We've always called them ornaments no matter what shape. Though I love the word bauble, it's fun to say!
