Tutorial - Quatro Fold Card

I love cards that give you lots of bang for your buck, and these quatro, or quarter fold, cards are definitely in that category.  They're relatively simple to make and can be easily adjusted to make them larger, smaller, wider or taller... plus there's plenty of room for lots of people to add a personal note to the recipient!

1.  Start with a piece of card stock measuring 11" long x 8" wide and place it horizontally on your work bench.  You are going to cut out a rectangle from each corner of the card stock measuring 23/4" long x 2" wide.  See the photos below.

2.  Score along the inner edge of each flap then fold along each score line, pressing firmly with a bone folder.  Fold all the flaps to the centre, tucking the fourth flap under the first to secure the pieces in place, similar to the way you would close a packing box.
Believe it or not, you've just finished the base of the card!  Easy huh?

OPTIONAL: I used a corner punch on each of the outer corners

3.  To decorate, cut pieces of patterned paper for the back and front side of each of the four flaps as well as one for the centre panel.  Adhere them with double sided tape or glue.

4.  Add images and embellishments to complete your project!
