ReplyDeleteI love these images! They have the cutest faces! I really like the mix of pattern papers on your card. I've never had figgy pudding but if it has icing on it, I'm sure to love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a cute desert!
ReplyDeleteAnd I observed that I had no idea about fussy cutting.
Thank you for the tutorials, Beccy!
That´s a wonderful card. I love the cute little guy so much. The colours and the papers are also very beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration, Beccy!
ReplyDeleteBest regards!

Oh come on we are now all singing "Now bring us some figgy pudding, Now bring us some figgy pudding". Of course, I've NEVER had figgy pudding because here in the America and especially in the south you've never tasted it. You always had pumpkin pie or pecan pie. Some of you girls remember on my blog that in the south we pronounce pecan pie like p-can. Not pa-con. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteAdorable Beccy, I've never had figgy pudding but it must be yummy by the look on his cute face!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute card design. Love the image used and the figgy pudding looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteReally cute image! Nice job with the fussy cutting!
ReplyDeleteLove this card, Beccy. The gingerbread man is so cute…. I hope it’s only the figgy pudding that gets eaten! xx
ReplyDeleteI've never had figgy pudding or just figs either. Are they similar to dates? It certainly looks yummy on your card. Of course the gingerbread man looks yummy too. A double does of yum!
ReplyDeleteFUN and FABULOUS card Beccy :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your cute gingerbread man and delicious colouring, LOVE your pretty paper layers and burlap accent strip too!
The gingerbread man and figgy pudding look good enough to eat. It looks like fondant frosting on it. My neighbor gave us a fruitcake one year with fondant frosting on it. This reminds me so much of it. I wonder if it actually was. I will have to ask her. It was delicious--I remember that!
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with all things gingerbread this season! He's so cute! Love the plaid papers too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfectly made card everything goes so well together...well done Beccy.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm loving the plaid papers you chose for this card, Beccy, and that darling little pudding maker is wonderfully cut! I'll take his kind of sugar and spice any day. :-D
ReplyDeleteBeccy this is so cute. Love the mix of the 2 plaid papers and all the brown you used.
ReplyDeleteYour fussy cutting is so neat :)
Donna figs are just gorgeous. If you get really ripe ones they are juicy and succulent inside.
ReplyDeleteOne word of warning though, don't eat them if you are vegetarian as a fig will only ripen if a female wasp has pollinated it. Unfortunately her wings drop off when she burrows inside and she cannot get out. The enzyme she produces is what ripens the fig. The wasp completely breaks down and you have no idea she has been in there, you don't find and insect or anything. A vegetarian friend told me and it sounded so far fetched I had to research it and it is actually true.... still very yummy though.
Traditional Christmas Pudding doesn't actually have figs in it though. There are other dried fruits in it like currants, raisins and sultanas but no figs or plums. I think it is one of those urban legend things that has evolved over hundreds of years
Great card and a beautiful picture. I have never eaten pudding for Christmas, let alone fig pudding. In Poland, it's just fruit cakes, poppy seed cake and cheesecakes. There are gingerbread cookies, not as smiling as yours, but home-baked.
