What a 'sweet' card and guilt free of course! I like using digi stamps to resize the image and to layer them to make a scene because I don't like cutting out small images.

Special Mention

Congratulations to the following people who have won themselves a set of digital stamps for entering 20 cards or more in this year's challenge:
Debi B.
Gail Scott
Gildett
Gina
Sarah W.
Suzanne H.
Suze
Swissie (Liv)

Due to the large volume of cards entered into the challenge this month, it's very possible that I've miscounted some of the entries. If you created and entered more than 20 cards into the November challenge and I've left you off the list, please accept my sincere apology and let me know via email so I can organise a prize for you.

The Countdown...

There are just over 12 hours left for the 2016 Month of Holiday Cards challenge, so make sure you get any last entries in!

Challenge closes at midnight (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

I'm relatively new to card making and didn't really know what a digital stamp was until I joined this challenge. Now Pandora 's box is opened! Thanks so much!

What an awesome and inspirational challenge! I usually wish that I had changed something when I finished a card but never really thought to go back and make another one after I am through. Your card is lovely. I love the little scene and that pop of gold that frames it. A wonderful card to CASE. Thanks for the fun challenge!

Day 29 - Digital Stamps

Digital stamps are inexpensive, versatile and come in a huge range that covers every conceivable occasion, recipient and theme.  They can be flipped, coloured, printed, merged and resized until you are satisfied with the resulting image.  The freedom that comes with digital stamps and the ease of storage, is what makes them increasingly popular with card makers.

YOUR TURN: Create a card or project using a digital stamp.

Wow, just awesome how you extended your stamps! It's like getting new stamps with a few strokes of the pen!

Day 27 - White on White

The trick for great white on white cards is texture, and lots of it.  Embossing, textiles, embellishments and layers of card stock will reflect light and cast shadows so that the viewer can discern the different elements. Although you can also do this with other light colours, white is best because it reflects more light than any other colour or tone.

YOUR TURN:  Create a card using only white card stock, paper and embellishments.

New Release: Tied Up With String

The "Tied Up With String" digital stamp set has a wholesome, simple feel to it, and brings to mind all those wonderful memories of childhood holidays filled with hand-made decorations, gingerbread smells and crackling wood fires.

Tied Up With String
Digital Stamp Set

My designers have, of course, created some fabulous holiday projects with the new set. You can check them all out here, but don't forget to visit their individual blogs for even more inspiration.

Carla's beautiful card features traditional colours and a wonderful tartan background that works perfectly with the image.

Three fabulous creations from Petra, full of beautiful colour and simple, joyous sentiments. The background of the middle card was done with Too Crazy crayons... isn't it beautiful?

A.J. made two cards featuring both images and sentiments from the set. The candy canes have been fussy cut and fastened to the card front with pop dots for extra dimension.

Judy has used a piece of burlap ribbon in the background of her card to mirror the one that appears in the image. It's a great way to tie the elements of a card together.

This card, created by Karin, has a triangular shaped front that allows the inside of the card to show behind the image. She added two beautiful die cut corners and lots of wonderful Christmas themed paper.

Anesha has been busy constructing these three fabulous projects with the Tied Up With String digital stamp set. She created a Christmas cracker with a personalised tag, a beautiful gift box, and a fabulous tri-fold card in the shape of a bonbon.

Such a lovely card, Becky. As much as I love non-traditional colours for Christmas, there's always something very Christmas about red and green with a touch of gold. Isn't it funny how we have a different (red) 'Christmas bird' (cardinal versus robin) depending on where in the world we live?

Day 25 - Extend Your Stamps (Tutorial)

You don't always need to rush out to buy brand new seasonal stamps when, with just a few lines, you can turn your regular stamps into cute Christmas images.  This is one of those instances where practice really does make perfect, so stamp or print out a bunch of images, make yourself a cuppa and settle in for an afternoon of creativity!

YOUR TURN: Extend some of your non-Christmas stamps to create a holiday project.
Upload a photo of your creation HERE.

I started by printing and colouring several cats.  As you can see, they are not at all holiday themed, but I'm going to change that with a few well placed lines.  I'll let all the pictures speak for themselves, but if you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comment section.

Now that you've added all the pen work, it's time to add some colour and mediums to finish transforming your images.  I used Liquid Pearls and some markers to decorate the little wreaths, bauble and string of lights that I added.

And now I have some fabulous Christmas cats to add to my cards!
