To give my image a vintage vibe, I selected earth-toned markers for everything except his beard, which was coloured with warm greys. I also brushed a little ink around the edge of the image panel before removing the cutting die.

Fabulous card, Beccy. The real Santa is pretty vintage..... apparently he's 1,751 years old! xx
ReplyDeleteAmazing how you have coloured this Santa in soft colours; I love it. The little pearls are a very nice ornament! Creative regards, Gina

Gorgeous colouring of Santa. Love the vintage look of him. It suits him perfectly, as in fact, he is an old man. Beautiful matching DP and I love how you stithed the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteHi Beccy, a lovely vintage coloured Santa, love the tartan paper you have used... I've been to the online craft show today, and not spent a cent... have a wonderful weekend... Megan
ReplyDeleteBeccy, you are truly a coloring pro!! Love the no line coloring, the fur on his hat and coat looks so fluffy and soft and the expression on his face is so sweet and friendly! Chapeau!!
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely achieved a softness with your selection of vintage colors for this Santa that looks like pencils instead of Copics. It has totally changed his appearance which is just amazing. I noticed the stitched lines also, so you actually sew on your cards? What a special touch to go with the tiny pearls!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love earth-toned colours of this card, it is stunning. It remembers me on my cardmaking friend who loves these earth colours and always uses them. I can tell, which card is her, it is such a remarkable style of cards.
ReplyDeleteI think vintage suits Santa. I hope he's holding the nice list and my name might be on it (hopefully). :)
