After dry embossing my card base with falling "snow", I coloured each raised section with a white gel pen to give the pattern a little more oomph. The bright white contrasts beautifully with the kraft background, lifting each "snowflake" to add even more dimension.

That was a lot of work, but it's worth it: it looks like real snow. Love the gingerbreads on top of each other (have already bought this set).
