I've coloured one of the poinsettia images from the Christmas Blooms set in pretty shades of blue, then teamed it with some silver mirror card... one of my favourite colour combinations for Christmas.
In Memory of little Alex
YOUR TURN: Create a card using the letter "B" as your prompt.

Nice to see a poinsettia in blue and especially in combination with the bling bling...Xx
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful love the blue
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, a combination of colors amazes me. I always associate the letter B with Christmas balls. Without them, there is no Christmas tree. When the children were small, they invented the color of Christmas and then we hung the baubles in that color.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you did this card. I have tried to do it like you do and it never works out. Even if it did work out, I'm sure it wouldn't look as good as yours.
ReplyDeleteYour partial poinsettia is a very effective image. I would not have thought about using it that way and coloured in blue is so different. I really love what your created here Beccy
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card in memory of Alex. It's was so thoughtful of you to create the blue poinsettia last year. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSimple but oh so stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful Beccy, one of my favourite colour combinations for Christmas cards too. xx
ReplyDeleteABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW - your BIG BOLD BLUE poinsettia is STUNNING Beccy!!!
Such an ELEGANT design, LOVE IT ALL ... yep, it's definitely feeling a LOT like Christmas and I'm INSPIRED :)
PS - can I ask a question? You always have such a smooth finish on your mirror card panels. How do you cut your panels without getting burred or wrinkled edges?
ReplyDeleteThanks heaps :)
Hi Tracy.
ReplyDeleteI use a guillotine to cut all my cardstock. I find it gives a much smoother edge than either a trimmer or a craft knife. I have both the large and small guillotines from Couture Creations.
Cheers,
Beccy
absolutely stunning in blue and silver.
ReplyDeleteI always admire real poinsettias in blue - in our country they were very popular in the past.
Beautiful. I like that it is a partial poinsettia.
ReplyDeleteDay 2, the color Blue is so beautiful. I'm not feeling blue at all. I'm so happy that I can sit an create some Christmas cards. Thank you so much for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteDay 2 omygosh! I absolutely LOVE this! I also love the color blue on all kinds of flowers! I’ve had a beautiful blue poinsettia! They are gorgeous…and so is your card!💙💙

Hi Heather. You can enter anything at any time during the month. The daily prompts are really just for fun and to get those creative juices flowing. Lots of people skip around the alphabet, some just do a few letters and others don't use the prompts at all. The only requirements are those set out in the conditions at the start of the challenge. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Beccy
Wonderful and very elegant!
ReplyDeleteI love the layout so much.
With regards!
