I'm not really sure what flavour these blue candy canes would be, but they look pretty decorating my cup of hot chocolate, complete with a mound of fluffy whipped cream and little chocolate sprinkles. Definitely a sweet holiday treat!

ReplyDeleteI have to say, I love those blue and white candy cane -- so beautiful-- I saw some like that with a clear area instead of the white that were blueberry flavor at Crossroad Village - a fabulous old fashion village with train ride [uses coal]-- it is a great attraction to visit year around-- and we love to go at Christmas time-- when all decorations are on displayed. Love me a nice hot drink ~ TFS your art.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a beautiful card. I immediately thought about a cup of hot chocolate with my husband on the Christmas tree. And there are so many days until Christmas. I hope this time will pass in a moment.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card with the layered white circles. Looks like a wonderful treat this cup of hot chocolate ! Creative regards, Gina
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo and layering! Very pretty card with your hot chocolate design!
ReplyDeleteI think they would be blue raspberry.
ReplyDeleteHi Beccy this is a gorgeous card. I did love using those images. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteI am quite sure they are mint candy canes, Beccy! And together with chocolate, the best flavour ever!
ReplyDeleteYour card is wonderful. So great with the Swiss dots embossing and all the layers!
I did not drink for a long time a hot cup of chocolate!
ReplyDeleteThis image it's a kind of trigger!
Tomorrow will be the day for this drink! Thank you for the reminder, Beccy!
This is beautiful Beccy. More ideas for me to use on this set, Sarah W
ReplyDeleteOh yummy! What a great card and very pretty with the whipped cream and the textured and layered background. Love the scalloped circle layering. I do think the blue candy canes would have to be blueberry. Blueberries are Valerie's favorite and she laughs when one rolls off her plate and calls it a runaway blueberry!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS card Beccy!
ReplyDeleteYour colours and layers are SO ELEGANT and your HOT chocolate looks DELICIOUS with the blue candies and canes!
... I had decided that the blue must be peppermint flavour because the good old fashioned spearmint leaves are green but when I checked out the "www" it turns out that peppermint is green too (which shouldn't really be a surprise) and that "blue raspberry" is a flavour associated with blue candy ... I can't remember tasting any blue foods (except when I added blue food colouring to mash potatoes after a home-economics class at school, which is a moment that did not go down well with my parents, sister or brothers), so now I will sit and ponder on what blue really tastes likes :)
Beautiful card thanks for sharing!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Beccy, I cannot believe I've missed the first nine days of the challenge, I have been making cards, just not posted any online yet. Love the Blue candy canes, I'm thinking Cool minty flavour. Have a wonderful week... Megan
ReplyDeleteHere in the Netherlands the flavour of the blue candy canes will be called 'smurfs'(cartoon characters). In icecream saloons there is also smurfs icecream, especially for kids. Your card is wonderful with the embossed background and layered circles. Great colouring of the sweet image.

ReplyDeleteThat cup of hot chocolate looks delish!! Love the embossed background and the layered scalloped circles!

This cup with the blue candy canes and whipped cream looks delish, so yummy...the only problem is it's on paper but I know there is blue candy canes out there. Such a great looking card and image..TFS
ReplyDeleteTerrific card, Beccy, and I love the color combo! Love the white on white doily mats. Flavor for the blue candy canes? I'm sure it must be one of the berry flavors, blueberry, raspberry, huckleberry...
ReplyDeleteMy dad would have said that candy canes and hot chocolate are perfect for the kids but he preferred to dip them in his coffee, which he always drank black and unsweetened. But during the holidays, we'd see him sneaking a candy cane off the tree and dipping it into his coffee cup for just a light touch of sweetness. What a happy memory! :-D
I just coloured this image this morning but haven't made my card yet. Yours is beautiful in blue, Beccy!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so beautiful in design and I love the candy canes. Maybe they are blue raspberry? That sounds yummy to me:
