Day 26 - "W"

For something a little different, I've challenged myself to use a "white with one" colour scheme for today's card. The trickiest part is using enough neutrals to be able to discern between the different gifts without actually turning them grey instead of white.

YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "W" as your prompt.

INSPIRATION WORDS:
Wise Men, winter, wreath, workshop, wrapping paper, wonder, waterfall card, window card, watercolour, Wink of Stella, watermarks, wax resist, weaving, white, white on white, white with one.

  1. This is beautiful Beccy. I am also challenged with the white with one. Besides black with white I really have trouble figuring out how to choose the color and then how to use it on my card. I don't have this set but the way you made it today it is something I need to think about. Wonderful job.

  3. The wrap around the gift is already part of the fun before getting to the actual surprise. Love your two coloured combination ! Creative regards, Gina

  4. Beautiful card, Beccy. Love your idea of a 'White with one' card and I'm sure there is a bottle of 'W'hite 'W'ine in the tall present! xx

  5. Wow Beccy, you've really 'nailed' your White With One challenge. I love everything about your card...the various tones of red, the shaping/shading,the
multi-layers, and the way you have 'grounded' the gifts.

    Hugs,
    Jennifer. x

  6. I am once again amazed at your coloring skills - these packages are totally fabulous - and I am wondering what is inside each delightful gift! The most exciting thing about Christmas is watching my grandkids open up presents - oh I remember the days growing up and being so excited to open up presents on Christmas morning and checking my stocking! Fabulous times when life was not so complicated with technology and such - and more relaxing and less stressful - in my opinion! Merry Christmas! Thanks for this challenge! BTW I do not find it stressful to create for the challenge

  7. Grounding the image with shading makes a big impact and gives dimension to a flat object . Really pretty .

  12. Beautifully coloured. Not an easy job to do with white and one other. I'm sure everyone finds it difficult.

  13. Beautiful in simplicity, these two colors go well together. For me, gift wrapping is difficult. I never do what I want. Finally, I give the packaging to my husband. My husband wrapping gifts perfect.

  14. I never thought of White with one. I do love Liz's idea of a bottle of white wine in the tall gift and I would love a box of chocolates in the little gift to go with it. Lovely coloring and the subtle embossing.

  16. It took me a bit to understand what you meant by white with one. Just a little out of it today. Beautifully done thought and the red and white together is very striking. Just amazing what can be done with just 2 colors!
