Day 25 - "V"

"V" is for vintage, which to me, means muted colours and distressed edges. I used scraps of fabulous tartan paper to create my background, making sure I inked the edges of each 1" square before adhering them together. I love the quilted look it gives to the design.

YOUR TURN: Create a card using the letter "V" as your prompt.

  1. This is so pretty. I love how you mixed and matched the plaids. Plaids always make me feel warm and cozy.

  2. Love your card, Beccy. That quilted background is great, and once again you have used that penned border with the image and sentiment 'off the edge'...it, combined with the double-layered matting, is really elegant.

  4. Very Vintage! The background must have been so time-consuming to do but totally worth it. Love the layout of the image and sentiment.

  7. You created a stunning tartan paper with all the scrapps. And inking the edges gives a vintage look for sure. The beautifully coloured mistletoe pops up very well!

  8. The paper is unique that you used to make the card, the color combination of brown and blue is very interesting. And it's the edge aging that makes you create a beautiful vintage card.

  10. I would not have thought to use that blue with colors in the patterned paper but it works! I wish I had more time to be creative and just create. Maybe one year!

  11. Honestly when I hear Vintage, I think Kitsch - not so my thing, in terms of lots of lace and pearls. But that feeling I do not have when I see your card. It looks cosy with the plaid back ground, and I love the special blue colour you have used for the berries. Creative regards, Gina
