It's all about the "B" colours - blue, brown and black.
The most difficult part of this card was adding black to a snowy, white snowman! I was worried it would be way too dark, but once the other colours were in place the contrast didn't appear quite as extreme. Although the shadows are very deep, I quite like how the finished image looks.
YOUR TURN: Create a card using the letter "B" as your prompt.

ReplyDeleteStunning coloring and the black shadow makes him look so real! I think this digi is gonna be a hit this year!
Your snowman looks great in those colors. I do appreciate you providing pre-colored images; it really helps me both in that I can use it as is and I can use it as a guide to help me color. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful, your snowman! But I miss the word "bell" among the inspiration words.
ReplyDeleteSo I made a card with Beccy's Bell.(2 Bs, hehe)
This is so darn cute Beccy. I have this set and it never looks like this. Well, back to the drawing board.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so Jolly in all the blue, so much fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, who would have thought these colours would work so well on a snowman! xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, you create the most beautiful cards, hugs, Lori m
ReplyDeleteTraditional snowmen do often use coal for eyes and mouth so I think your coloring is spot on! The designer paper and embellishments really make your snowman pop off the page and come to life. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card gorgeous snowman ⛄️ too xx
ReplyDeleteI often use blue on snowmen Christmas cards but never used with brown before. That is quite ironic really as blue and brown is one of my favourite non-Christmas colour schemes. This have given me food for thought so thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThe card is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI like the snwoman and the layout.
All the best!

Amazing color combination. I thought the snowman would come out sad. And it turned out funny. Once upon a time my winters were full of snow and now I do not remember when I was making a snowman. It's good that we can at least color it. Thank you for being able to blog here again.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully coloured. The brown works well with the blue.
ReplyDeleteBy Golly! The brown hat with the bouncing bell was very befitting on the snowman with the blue scarf and beautiful wreath.
ReplyDeleteSnowmen are one of my favorite - Love a snowman card and your coloring is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a huge collections of snowmen that I had displayed in my home - once we downsized - I sold or gave away most of my snowmen ornaments and decor - miss them but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! Thanks for the challenge -
