Day 17 - "O"

Okay, so perhaps these are more bauble than ornament, but I'm thinking an ornamental bauble also fits the brief... right? Right. The little bit of sparkle you can see is from my trusty Wink of Stella brush.

YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "O" as your prompt.

  2. Actually I have heard some people refer to them as ornaments and others as baubles - depends who you ask. So, ornaments they are! I like that they are hanging at different levels and that wonderful embossing behind them.

  3. What an imaginative way of showing depth of the image: a bauble outside the frame! Lovely! And the white pattern is so beautiful.
    Quite an inspiration here!

  7. I call everything that goes on a Christmas tree an ornament. Is that something only in the United States? I love your combination of colors, especially the black ornament. I must get some Wink of Stella. Maybe Santa will bring it.

  8. I do love the sparkle on your baubles, Beccy. And the embossed background is so pretty. I still have so many Christmas cards to make and so little time to make them, I think I may need to spend part of my store credit on this stamp set and use the precoloured images from the set and my sparkle pen to whip up some quick cards. If I'm really quick, I might be able to finish them in time to enter them when we get to the S for Sparkle lol.

  16. Beautiful and elegant card. With us, baubles are classified as Christmas decorations. We also hang chains handmade of colored paper. When the children were small, every year they decorated the Christmas tree in a selected color and made decorations in that color. We only bought baubles, we made other decorations together. There were chains, hanging Christmas trees, candies, etc.

  20. I am curious what the difference is between baubles and ornaments. We would definitely calls these ornaments where we live. Almost anything that hangs on our Christmas tree would be called an ornament. I love the elegance of this card. The textured background really accentuates the beautiful ornaments you've used. The gold frame adds to the elegance. Such a gorgeous card!

  21. Yep, those are ornaments in my book. I never heard them called anything else until I was in college and my roommate called them baubles, but then, she was from England so I assumed it was a term from her home. I love the red and black combo!
