There are so many techniques, tutorials, card folds, embellishments, papers and new products on the market that today's challenge should be a cinch for all of us. My "something new" is a card created with my envelope maker. Although it's a tool I've used many times, I've never actually used it to make a card.
YOUR TURN: Create a card or project using a new technique, tutorial or product.

Since I have tried most of the card fold techniques on your blog Beccy, this one might be a challenge to find something new. Although, like you I haven't tried using my envelope maker to make a card so that might be it. Another technique for the letter E too!
ReplyDeleteThere's so much I haven't tried yet. I know I am late to the party on shakers but I did just made third shaker card. That's a relatively new technique for me. I'm sure there's a fold I haven't tried. I'll have to look through your tutorials. Thanks so much for stretching our skills!
ReplyDeleteOK, I went to your Card Fold Tutorials page, Beccy, and chase one I've not done before. The best thing about your tutorials are the extremely clear, sensible, step-by-step instructions that make it easy to try something new. Love the envelope card and the adorable mitten image! Thanks, and I'm off to the craft room! :-D
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautifully colored card. I love how the mitten is filled with cinnamon sticks and berries. Many years ago when I used to design Christmas arrangements at a local craft store I used to make some affordable decorations of several cinnamon sticks tied with a beautiful red bow and a little sprig of shiny red berries. That's what this reminds me of. I need to get out of my comfort zone and try new techniques but never seem to have the desire to. Maybe one day........[Bunny]
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and No I havent tried that either. I guess finding my designer papers 1st under all the mess on my desk might be something new for me and picking my colour combo from that. You never know what i find on this desk.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnother fun "keep us on our toes" challenge. I know that there are tons of fun things to try out there. The challenge will be to decide which one. Sweet idea to use your envelope maker to make a card. Love the sweet-smelling mitten. Cinnamon is one of my favorite smells of Christmas and all year long!
ReplyDeleteBeccy, I like this idea of the envelope as a card. I already used my two new techniques (acetate card and gatefold card) so I had to use a new die that I had.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Love the card fold idea! will have to rty making one of these
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

A lovely card and what a challenge to inspire us all to try something new. I'm off to try using glitter flakes - something I bought many years ago (it seemed like a good thing at the time!) and have never used!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I like the colours and the layout so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
All the best!

Oooh now that is a challenge. There is a card that I would like to try to make so this s the perfect opportunity. I don't have a clue what they call it though..... I'll probably just make it up as a I go along LOL
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely. The colouring is so soft and subtle and your berries look real.
Hi Beccy this is a gorgeous card. I love it. I haven't tried that technique. Thank you for the inspiration. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card, Beccy! I adore red and I love how you've coloured this! How cool that you made the card with your envelope maker. I know there are a lot of techniques and folds that I've not tried yet so this should be fun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful warm red colour. And how handy to be able to make a card with an envelope die! Creative regards, Gina
ReplyDeleteNeat card. I think I know what I will do.
ReplyDeleteOh what a fun challenge. I have already selected a card from your tutorials. I will submit the card later, I have to look for the appropriate elements.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, love the card.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card and your coloring is so gorgeous and warm!
ReplyDeleteI thought tis morning to challenge myself to use some goldfoil on my card, after a few try's I gave up. Every time when I wanted to remove the protective sheet from the doublesided foil I got tangled. Then I thougt, I'm gonna cut the word from gold paper but when I had it gleud on my card and wanted to remove my tape I tranfered it with it removed some gold. Finally it worked using thicker diffrent gold paper but I didn't had the time to finish the card so I will enter it later this week.
