It's J-Day and I'm going with a jingling silver bell.
I've kept my palette restricted to a combination of black and white alcohol markers and coloured pencils. I like the neutral tones combined with the brushed silver card stock, which I've embossed with an old folder I've had for many years. A double organza bow finishes my card nicely and adds a little more shine.

ReplyDeleteI love the neutral colours. That embossing folder you used is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's Christmas time in the city :)
ReplyDeleteStunning coloring Beccy, it really looks amazing!!
This is so pretty! It's very vintage looking and that embossing folder is great. I would use it for an argyle sweater look and never think to use it so elegantly.
ReplyDeleteI love your card Beccy, it is so pretty. I love jingle bells. Well as long as someone isn't constantly ringing them. Then they really take a tole on my nerves. Anyway, for the most part I really do like them.
ReplyDeleteLove the monochromatic look, Beccy, and your pretty and shimmery embossed background is the perfect backdrop for your image in white and greys. Thanks for always offering some inspiration words, especially for all of those non-native speakers out there. And it's also nice to be able to pick up a few new words, such as 'jonquil'. Never would have guessed it refers to a special species of daffodils. BTW, 'daffodil' is called 'narcis' in Dutch. I thought I'd return the favour LOL.

ReplyDeleteWow love the colour and the texture really pops on that backing drawing you in. Ding Dong and another awesome make
ReplyDeleteBeccy, you know me I LOVE colour but this card is so sophisticated and the sentiment is just perfect with it.
ReplyDeleteIt is not often I am lost for words but this is just Wow!
So beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful embossed background really makes the image stand out.
ReplyDeleteOh, how beautiful this card is. This image, along with the silver background, is very elegant. I'm delighted. I remembered such a bell immediately. It reminds me of an Alpine cow that licked us and then chased us to the beat of the bell around its neck. We feared her and ran faster and faster. Such a bell hangs to this day and we always move it when we achieve some success. Amazing what memories your card evokes.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Gorgeous card! Love the black and white
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Gorgeous, Beccy! I love it in grayscale with all the shiny silver.
ReplyDeleteI bet that is so pretty in real life. When I saw it, it reminded me that I had foil tape that I hadn't used yet. I pulled it out and will have a foil card soon.
ReplyDeleteOH! This is Gorgeous Beccy the monochrome and no line colouring is fabulous.
