There's nothing more festive than the smell of warm gingerbread coming from a homey kitchen at Christmastime, but the little guy I'm using on today's card is much too cute to snack on, so I've put him on a greeting card instead.
YOUR TURN: Create a card or papercraft project using the letter "G" as your prompt.

INSPIRATION WORDS:
gifts, garland, gingerbread, green, gold, gamsol, gesso, gap card, gate fold card, gilding, gold leaf, glitter, glass, glossy accents.
Stamps:
This guy is definitely too cute to snack on. Maybe you can put him on a shelf and instead of an elf on a shelf it would be a gingerbread on a shelf.
ReplyDeleteI love these little guys and their sweet little bellies. Do you think gingerbread men eat gingerbread men?
ReplyDeleteAdorable face, love these soft colors!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. The smell of baking gingerbread people is awesome. Just mixing it up with the molasses smells incredible. Oh mercy, I could bite a hole in him right now but that wouldn't look or taste good if I did that. [Bunny]`
ReplyDeleteY'all get ready for that Gnome!
He is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteLove how the use of kraft cardstock prevents your sweet gingerbread man from becoming too sweet, but then, who is counting calories at Christmas?!

Cute image and I like the soft pastel colors instead of the Christmas colors...well done
ReplyDeleteG is for Gorgeous and this what it is. Such a cute Guy.
ReplyDeleteGreat card, love your Gingerbread Man clutching Gifts :)
ReplyDeleteLove your scalloped layers and piercing too, such a pretty design!
... I'm with Bunny, get ready for the Gnomes!
This is so cute, Beccy, love the expression on the Gingerbread Man's face! xx
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute I could eat him right up !!!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute, Beccy! I love him! I've always had a soft spot for Gingerbread Men! I can remember I had a Gingerbread Man book as a child - I recently found the same book at a thrift store for 25 cents and it brought back some happy memories! I also remember my grandmother would hang Gingerbread Man cookies on the Christmas tree! Great childhood memories that warm my heart!
ReplyDeleteLove a Gingerbread and one to eat with iced frosting as a treat! Yum Yum Give me some! This is super sweet indeed Beccy - TFS
ReplyDeleteSuch a darling gingerbread boy! I love the colors you chose. The smell of gingerbread in the house always brings back such wonderful childhood memories of my Grammy's house. Her house was exactly 1 block from ours so we all spent lots of time with her. Her house had an attic which became the grandkid's play area and the end of it directly above the kitchen was the best place to play. Whatever she was baking (and at holiday time that meant lots of cookies and gingerbread), the aroma came right up and filled the air in the attic! Mmmm, wonderful memories. :-D
ReplyDeleteLike the color choice of pink and gingerbread brown for background. The image is darling, never seen a gingerbread man bring gifts and candy. Cute card.
ReplyDeleteDarling little guy done in pastels! I wouldn't have thought of pastels, Beccy, and it surely does bring out the feeling of a warm kitchen and home baked goods! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ginger bread man. Wouldn't mind him being sent to me on a card!
