Day 5 - "E"

So emu isn't exactly the first "e" word that comes to mind when you're thinking about Christmas, but this guy has certainly gone out of his way to look festive! A little bit of glossy accents on the light bulbs and star add some fabulous shine to the card.

  2. After recently purchasing this set, it was the first E word that I thought of! I'm using the same image but different colour scheme and different card fold.

  3. What a great shape for a card. I need to start thinking more outside of the "box". Your emu is certainly ready for the holiday with his shiny star.

  7. Ehm...you're right, I would never have thought of 'emu' for the letter 'E' but I have to admit he looks very handsome in his Christmas attire.

  12. Is that a popular Christmas story we don't know about in the states? Because inquiring minds want to know. Emus obviously brighten people's days with Christmas lights wound around them. Love that tree shaped card.

  13. Emus aren't common in my neck of the woods. I'm not even sure that our local zoo has any. He's a cute critter though and I bet he'd have all kinds of Christmas stories to tell.

  14. Do people have Emu's as pets? Really never heard of this creature - but I think I would like one...and a PIG too - one that does not grow to be huge - a tiny horse would be fun as well - I think I need to live on a farm??? Cute card with this Emu - decked in lights! TFS

  17. Oh, Beccy, this is such a fun card! Love that emu, even if he isn't first on my list of Christmas critters. His eyes are so expressive and he looks totally baffled as to how he became so wrapped up in Christmas. ROFL

  18. I can just imagine this wrapped up Emu singing a little Christmas tune, maybe accompanied by a kookaburra. I love the sound Emu´s make, but I must admit that they are a little bit scary (think it´s those big feet).
