I have something a little different for you today, which I've decided to call "Two-fer"... mostly so it fits today's letter prompt, but also because it is "two-fer" the work of one.
Use a craft knife or trimmer to cut up the middle of the image and voila! you have two for the work of one.
YOUR TURN: Create a card using the letter "T" as your prompt.
Click the link below to add your project to the challenge:
INSPIRATION WORDS:
Three Wise Men, twinkle, turkey, tidings, tinsel, toys, tree, trimmings, teal, turquoise, tutorial, techniques, tent card, tilt card, tri-fold card, two-fer cards
Stamps:
Oh so funny. This reminds me of my attempts to make a card fold fit the "Y" prompt!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea Beccy - these 2 cards are wonderful! TFS I am inspired!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Beccy! There is another challenge that uses two-fers but they make two cards using the same stamp for two different occasions. A way to stretch your stamps and get more out of them. This is the perfect way to make more Christmas cards in a hurry!
ReplyDeleteOh this is so cool. Wouldn't have thought of it but it does remind me of my splitting headaches that I have. I think me and him are alike except I don't wear his kind of clothes.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is very clever and a great idea to make the two cards. Now we all will remember to try this.

Wow Talk about 2 for the Price of one this is fabulous was wondering what you would do for T. You always come up with something new.
ReplyDeleteVery clever to make a Twofer with one image and what a great image! It reminds me of the wooden Nutcracker I bought many years ago when we had a holiday in Germany. It will be coming out again this Christmas! xx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea, Beccy! This is a really fantastic creation. I love the giant size nutcracker. :-D
ReplyDeleteFabulous nutcracker Beccy... Amazing coloring as usual... Love the candy buttons.
ReplyDeleteTERRIFIC card Beccy!
ReplyDeleteWOW - I LOVE your nutcracker & colouring, LOVE your Twofer design too - WOW!
PS - may I ask how big your card and image panel are? After seeing your Gingerbread Scraplet, I'm guessing the cards are 5 1/2" square and the image 4" ?
Hi Tracy. The nutcracker image in the digital set is actually his whole body, so I cropped the top part and printed it at about 4". You're right about the base card, it's 5.5" square.
DeleteCheers,
Beccy
Thank You Beccy :)
Delete... I just went back to look at the image again and I can see your ruler beside him ... sorry for not being more alert!
Brilliant idea, Becky. Love your coloring. Since I have visited the USA I'm in love with nutcrackers. Didn't know them before. Will keep your two-fer idea in mind. Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteIt looks a bit painfull to me to see the nutcracker cut in two ;). The card however is gorgeous Beccy. Love the golden edge. Just need to find some time to create a card with the two-fer technique (I looked it up to see what technique it was :) Terrific technique.... have to try it! I think I skip coocking today :).
