Snow is not something we have to contend with at Christmastime in Australia, but many of us still love a cute snowman card! I coloured the Mr. Snowflake digital image with Prismacolor pencils and added a touch of glossy accents to his spectacles for a glassy finish.

INSPIRATION WORDS:
Santa, stockings, star, snowman, shepherd, s-fold card, shutter card, shaped card, step card, star fold, scallops, stitching, sponging, stamping, stencils, scarlet, sepia, silver.
Lots of wonderful S words to chose from. It will be a difficult choice. Love your CAS card. I have to try to remember to frame things the way you do with the lines and connecting the sentiment. That's so neat! Another awesome card, Beccy!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE that particular snowman, Beccy! I think I have most of your snowmen and have used them all with great pleasure. Your coloring is wonderful and I dearly love the CAS design. I'm off to get an "S" card made. :-D
ReplyDeleteSweet Snowman wearing his spectacles and his Soft Scarf Smoking Silently in the Snow. I love all of the white space Beccy.... Super Sweet
ReplyDeleteNot something we have a Christmas either Beccy. Although like you I do like a snowman on my Christmas cards so I'm sure that is what my S will be! Need to finish R first though!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little guy and that is why I have this set. Just because he is so darn cute. Love your card.
ReplyDeleteSweet snowman - I can almost smell the pipe smoke!
ReplyDeleteHe is a sweet snowman. I love those glossy accents that are being used on cards. I'm going to have to find some of that. Another addition to my wish list!
ReplyDeleteOh boy Beccy he is so cute. I am not sure smoking would be good for his health he might melt. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteSuper Sweet Snowman :)
ReplyDeleteI've only seen snow a couple times {after a long road trip} and think it would be nice to try a White Christmas one day.
Hi Beccy, a very long list of 's' words to inspire us all, I've gone with sunset, silhouette, Santa, sleigh, stars, southern cross, sentiment and swaggie for a truly Aussie Christmas card... have a good one... Megan
ReplyDeleteStunning card s word at Christmas has to be Santa and Snowman both 2 of my faves. Love your Snowman he has soo much charcter
ReplyDeleteThis guy so cracks me up with that cool pipe - love him very much--- being the snowman freak I am --- I also created a Snowman project - a tag for a future Journal - thanks for the challenge
ReplyDeleteLove the delicate colors on this card. So soft yet rich. And the texturing on the fabric of the hat, scarf and gloves is wonderful. [BTW- How did you do that? With colored pencils? Distress eraser? Inquiring Kathy's want to know!]
ReplyDeleteHi inquiring Kathy. I've used pencils on very lightly textured paper. I don't use any gamsol or mineral spirits with my pencils as I quite like the look you get from the texture of the paper.
DeleteCheers,
Beccy
Beautifully coloured.
ReplyDeleteWhose up for a Snowball fight then? See you you in five. Lol
ReplyDeleteYour snowman is a cutie with his shinny specs. Hugs ValeryAnne.
