Day 18 - "P"

One of my favourite mediums, which also happens to start with the letter "P", is coloured pencil. Since I used Prismacolor Pencils to colour my image, which is two "P"s, I think I should receive double points... and that entitles me to a bonus cookie for morning tea. Right?

YOUR TURN: Create a card using the letter "P" as your prompt.
Click the link below to upload a photo of your creation to the challenge:

INSPIRATION WORDS:
pudding, partridge, pears, presents, pine, pop-up cards, pyramid card, pocket card, pastels, purple, plum, paint, paper piecing, pleating, parchment, pearls, pencils, petals, photos, plaid.

  6. Yay for bonus cookies! Your pencil colouring is simply gorgeous! Lovely dies and layers too! My first thoughts for "P" are poinsettia and penguin and I don't see them on your list, but that won't stop me hehehe.

  7. I think I deserve a few bonus cookies this month too. So far, I have managed to use 2 of every letter on each alphabet challenge although it might get interesting at the latter end of the alphabet! Love the gift wrapped look of the card.

  8. So pretty. How do you make it look like glitter? I have so much to learn and I'm having so much fun trying out new techniques.

    1. Hi Suzanne. There's a slight texture in my paper, which means that the colour doesn't go down into the tiny little valleys leaving white spaces. Since the texture is very fine, the white spaces are very small and in certain light may resemble glitter. I've used Bristol paper for this card, but there are other papers that also have a lovely fine texture.
      Cheers,
      Beccy

  10. Very pretty Beccy, I started out using Prismacolor pencils, but since buying Copic I seldom use them. I still have them close at hand just in case. I keep planning to use then with my Copics but some how along the way the photo gets taken and I forget... Your coloring is amazing whatever you use, I'm assuming your card stock has a little texture? Yes, you deserve a extra cookie or two.

  13. Wonderful card! Your coloring with the Prismacolor Pencils is awesome! I need a lot more practice to make it look like that. Love that musical background paper. It fits so well with the bells. You should get a dozen cookies for a job well done. Not just this card but the entire month of challenges. I can't imagine commenting on every card but I'm sure you do. We should all send you a dozen cookies as a thank you! Sending cookie hugs!

  14. I definitely think you deserve a second cookie, Beccy, but I want to know if I get an extra cookie for each "P" I'm using? lol I'll have mine posted in a few more hours. Your coloring is so perfect, and I love this silver bell. I bought it recently and haven't had a chance to use it yet but it is magnificent. The die you used to cut the frame for your image is superb!
