Although Christmas in Australia is hot, I'm still going with an icy cold theme for my card today... mostly because there aren't a lot of "I" words associated with the holidays and also because I enjoy the idea of a white Christmas.

Colinda
Hi Beccy this is a stunning card that red cardinal is so cute in his little boots. Would he ever see snow? Have a great weekend. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteSweet birdie - Like the cardinal and also those little boots - we had our FIRST SNOW today! melting however - but we had it! Thanks for the challenge
ReplyDeleteLove the cool tones of the papers with the warmth of the Ickle bird
ReplyDeleteYour card remind me of this past summer - was very warm here in Denmark, and everyone coun't wait until it would be cooler. Now it's cooler, we wouldn't mind if it was just a tiny bit warmer... Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI will give you an I for your coloring.. "Incredible" This little bird with his boots is absolutely adorable. He could sell those boots, I know I would buy them. hehehe So in Australia, Warmest Wishes has a whole new meaning.
ReplyDeleteLove your card. I always have trouble trying to figure out what to use for "I" so I went with Ivory this year. You always come up with the best ideas.
ReplyDeleteThis little cardinal is so darn cute with those little boots! Love your soft color combo.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have white Christmases when I was young, but now our snow seems to wait until January or February. I finished all the "insides" of my cards for "I" day but thought it would be strange to post the inside of my cards :) Off to think of another "I" idea.
ReplyDeleteSUPER CUTE card Beccy!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your cardinal surrounded by the floating snowflakes :)
... I have only seen snow a couple of times (yes, it was a long drive) and we were even lucky enough to see a light flurry on the way home one trip, just can't imagine what it would be like to be surrounded by snow for months on end ... thinking it would be wonderful to try a White Christmas though :)
I love the color scheme on this card. The light blue is in the cool color family and that red is in the warm color family and well... it just jumps up to grab attention. [Hmmm. Just like in a real family, right? Some people are calm and collected and others, well... they're not. But I'm not gonna name names. heh heh!]
ReplyDeleteA real wintry card. Like you, we are in the middle of summer for Christmas although the way the weather has been lately you wouldn't think so! I'm thinking of an icy card for my I card.
ReplyDeleteHi Beccy, I think many Aussies dream of a true white Christmas, the closest we ever get is being fog bound... Thank you for all the inspiration. Have a good weekend.. Megan
ReplyDeleteHi Beccy,
ReplyDeleteyour Card is incredibly beautiful. The little Bird is irresistible cute, I love your Card.
Over here in Germany, no Winter, curently we have Spring Weather.
I love the new cardinals, Beccy, and this card is fantastic! We don't have white Christmases in California, either, except in the high mountains, but I love the idea of it, too. The little boots on the cardinal are simply too cute. :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat coloring of the lovely cardinal, Beccy. I adore his fancy boots!
