I'm curious to see what everyone does for today's letter prompt... "X" is definitely a challenge! Happily, I found a nice new packet of X-Press It blending card in my stash.
YOUR TURN: Create a holiday card using the letter "X" as your prompt.
INSPIRATION WORDS:
X-Press It blending card, Xmas, xyron
(let me know if you can think of any others)
Stamps: Tied Up With String
I like the way you made the candy canes into an X, Beccy! I don't have any X-Press blending paper and I wasn't crazy about using Xmas on my card (even though I now know that X in Greek really stands for Christ). So I found a stamp set in my stash that had Xs and Os for hugs and kisses so that's what I used for my X card. Love your mix of designer paper. Candy canes hung on Christmas trees always make Christmas so festive! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove your card and love your "X"s, Beccy! I used "X" Marks the Spot. About to enter it now. :-D
ReplyDeleteLove the card and the canes cross love it

Xtra Xcited to show off my x!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Love the X for the crossed candy canes. Edwina brown
ReplyDeleteI couldn't think of anything for 'x' but the ladies over at ABC Christmas Challenge are using 'x marks the spot... lots of twine crossing over on cards, much like the lovely candy canes on your card! Have a good one... Megan
ReplyDeleteIts very nice card!
ReplyDeleteGreat for X - I think you already know what I used - an Xylophone---- I like that added button on your card - Love me a candy cane in some Hot Chocolate or to make a peppermint mocha - YUM
ReplyDeleteBeccy, I really had to stretch for the X and also the Z challenge. Am looking forward to posting them since I think that they might make you smile... and possible even chuckle!
ReplyDeletePS Your X card is lovely. I am curious... what is Xpress It Blending? Sounds intriguing.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy. "Xpress It blending card" is just a brand of card board made specifically for alcohol markers. It has a coating that allows the ink to blend easier and gives a slightly longer open time. Sorry it's not more interesting.
DeleteCheers,
Beccy
Lovely card, Beccy...I thought the candycanes were your X...so you used 2 times X!!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Beccy! We're getting into the tough letters now! I like your intrepretation of X. I went with xoxo. Looking forward to seeing your Y and Z. There aren't many days left - I'll be sad when it's over :-( as I've made tons of cards this month, thanks to your alphabet inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGood thinking of having the candy canes in a X form..I also like your background pattern paper...well done and tfs
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I just thought of another way to use the X: cross-stitching. Now all I need to do is find some time to actually make a card...
