Christmas is usually associated with bold, rich colours - deep reds, bold greens and bright golden highlights - but sometimes it's nice to see softer colours on holiday projects.

Just lovely! Great papers (I love plaids). I really like how you did the sentiment, too.

wow, so lovely and soft, great design and sentiment!
ReplyDeletelove the soft colours of this and the use of non Christmas paper. Just shows you don't have to use Christmas paper for a Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you did the sentiment with the angled banners and pearls. Love this.
ReplyDeletevery pretty card!
ReplyDeleteSo soft and pretty, Beccy. I don't use a lot of PPs these days, but I love how you've used them while still achieving a clean look. Also love how you did the sentiment.

ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the soft colours and image, SO ELEGANT!!!
Pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty, Beccy! I really like how you trimmed the sentiment banners - very eye-catching! As for soft colours, I'm afraid I don't use them very often. I tend to reach for the bright, bold colours, so maybe I need to tone it down a bit! Hmmmm, I will be thinking of soft colours for my next card! Yes, I already have something soft in mind! Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteReally nice card Beccy. Love the colors and the layout. You do such an amazing job on your cards.
ReplyDeleteCan't get much prettier and softer than this for Christmas.....I agree with bright and bold and then a splash of softness makes that card stand out.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card l love the image don't see much of that these days so nice to see it on your card xx
ReplyDeleteReally pretty card and I especially like the idea of slant-cutting the banners. It just draws the eye around the "triangle" of the card. I like using the soft colors as well!
ReplyDeletestunning colouring of this fabulous image
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Pastels are my favorite. I love the background papers and the pearls on the sentiment banners.

You are so right. Just like my black card where the colors pop I do go for bold colors at Christmas time. But this soft colored card brings peace and quiet into the life and I felt that sense of peace as soon as I saw your card. Intriguing idea. I'm going to have to try this. Maybe it will bring some calm into my somewhat hectic life right now. The other thing I thought of was that blue would probably be my go to color but I love the soft green. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card! I love the sentiment, although it could be embarrassing if you accidentally sent it to the wrong person! 😉 xx
ReplyDeleteOh I agrre with you Beccy! And I love your design on this beautiful card! And especially how you placed the sentiment! Very inspiring!
