Day 7 - Vintage Christmas

The vintage-look is one of those old classics that's always in fashion.  There are countless examples of wonderful vintage cards on the internet as well as a multitude of gorgeous images from days gone by.  To create your own vintage look, choose muted or toned colours, classic shapes and old fashioned images.  Distress the edges of your cardstock and patterned papers with inks, sanding tools or by tearing.  Ribbons, pearls, old buttons and lace are also lovely additions that fit the theme well.

  5. Wow, Beccy, I love your card with the beautiful colouring and design. I haven't seen, or used the cracked glass technique for ages...you have inspired me to revisit that very effective technique again!

    2. Hi Donna,
It's actually a crackle medium that you apply directly to your image and as it dries, the cracks form. I've done the old method of applying several coats of clear UTEE, putting it in the freezer and then cracking by hand, but more often than not, half the UTEE ends up peeling off.
      Cheers,
      Beccy
