Day 14 - Christmas Symbols

There are lots of symbols that represent the celebration of Christmas, from evergreen boughs to jolly old Santa.  Fortunately for card makers we are spoiled for choice when it comes to subjects for stamping and colouring.  Sometimes it's fun to work with a lesser used symbol such as a plum pudding, pair of ice skates or in my case, a sleigh.

YOUR TURN:  Use a Christmas symbol as the focal point of your card.
Upload your creation here.

  5. That is one fantastic sleigh! Looks like you took a lapel pin and pinned it onto the card. (You didn't, did you?) Beautiful card!

    1. Hi Debi,
Nope, it's not a lapel pin, although that's a great idea!
The sleigh is actually a die that I cut once in red and once in gold. Then I used a pair of scissors to trim away parts of the red I didn't want, glued them together and finished with some crackle medium.
      Cheers,
      Beccy

  7. Love the texture of the red on the sleigh. The gold gives the sleigh elegance. What die is it that you used - it is fabulous. I love how the ribbon is tied like a Christmas present too.

  15. I need to go shopping and get some crackle medium. I've seen you use it in several ways and it really adds an extra detail that makes the image look beautiful. Gorgeous sleigh...gorgeous card. P.S. Saving all your card pics for inspiration...hubby's in hospital so once he's home, I can start creating again.
