I had a great time creating this single layer card... even though my hands looked like they belonged on a Smurf by the time I was finished! I masked off the "window panes", sponged on lots of blue ink, stamped some trees and birds then added lots of glitter, shine and sparkle. I was aiming for a wintery night with frosty windows and the soft glow of Christmas lights. I don't know if that's exactly what I achieved but it's close enough to keep me happy!
YOUR TURN: Pull out all those bottles of glitter, glitz, sparkle and shine and create a card that glows and twinkles with holiday cheer!

I am stunned with this one. It's absolutely beautiful. I am curiious how you made the lights on the try twinkle like real Christmas lights. Amazing card!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna,
DeleteThe "lights" are rhinestones. Before adhering them to the card I used a dauber to rub on some ink in a matching colour for the "glow". I know they look as though they are actually shining in the photo, but I think that's just the flash from the camera.
Cheers,
Beccy
Love the card, the window is so pretty
ReplyDeleteFabulous work as always. TFS
